12. What about your muses amuses you?

Atem: he’s an idiot. He makes rash decisions based on his emotions and the consequences (especially after warning the fool) are hilarious. I love knowing he’s walking into a disaster and him somehow being blindsided by it because he FEELS too much.

Malice: the fact he learned how to be a person from watching movies. Atem was by himself for four months he watched a lot of tv and videos trying to catch up with the world. Malice’s personality developed because of that. So he quotes movies all the time.

13. What about your muses makes you sad?

Atem: he has such low self esteem. He fakes it really well. When he’s dueling? It’s a mask he wears to look confident. Dueling is the one thing he knows he’s good at, but any time things get difficult, he puts on his game face so he can handle the situation. Atem actually is a social disaster and a klutz.

Malice: he doesn’t get he could do something else. That there is no one to stop him from being a monster. That post canon Yugioh is about second chances.

What makes you the most emotional about your muse?

He can change! Maybe? It takes a lot. It only almost happened once and it took YEARS. But it could. And I love that about him.

What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

I know he seems like he’s just a crazy ass murderer, but he has depth if you can get to it. He’s actually very well thought out and I love when we can get that far in his story. He thinks (at this moment in time) that his function is the most important thing. He’s a part of Necrophades. He has a mission. He’s a good little soldier if you will.

Our views are completely different. Because he hasn’t t realized he’s not daddy’s little blunt instrument. In this verse? He may never. Who knows with Mally? But it’s there.

If you had to take one positive thing away from your muse, what would you take away?

If you could “borrow” one aspect of your muse and apply it to yourself or your own life, what would you borrow?

Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life?

1. Malice has the best quips. In that respect he’s a thousand times cooler than Atem. He also understands pop culture better than Atem. I guess I’d take that away but he would be so BORING.

2. I wish I could magically produce a sledgehammer whenever I wanted.

3. Making Malice happy at this point is making Atem suffer, which is good for the plot lmao. So yes, I want him to be happy. Could what makes Malice happy change? Yes. But right now he has ONE mission.

If you had to judge your muse and sentence them to a “fair” fate, what would your judgement be? Would you punish them? Reward them? How?

Bitch needs to die. A lot. Twice. I mean I get he’s only known violence all of his existence but ffs. He just kills for funsies and doesn’t care who it is.

Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?

Dude I live for angst. Honestly it gets you so much character development. With malice? That is definitely yet to be seen. As of right he has no attachments to anything. So we’ll see what happens with him.

Atem? Losing someone he loves or being betrayed. It would be a disaster. But I’d still enjoy it.

About Malice

Alright, Malice is a piece of Zorc Necrophades that was placed in the puzzle with Atem to assure the demon king could not return. Malice has been in the puzzle with Atem the entire time. In that time he has tortured Atem in countless ways.

Malice came out of the puzzle first when Yugi completed it. At that point Atem was far too weak. But Atem liked Yugi and did his best to keep malice from hurting people he was close to. In that way Atem managed to keep malice from harming innocents in the early days. Atem is also the reason that Seto Kaiba was the only person who somewhat survived Malice at all.

Seto is also the reason Atem defeated Malice. When Seto was going to jump from the castle in duelist kingdom, it was Atem who finally broke free telling Seto not to do it. After that, Atem never heard from malice again. He assumed the other dead.

He’s clearly not and now malice is more powerful than ever thanks to when Atem excepted all the darkness of the world in order to win in the Doma arc. What you’re dealing with is an extremely powerful demon god who feeds off fear and negativity. He inflicts pain for fun abd if it will hurt Atem? Bonus. He does make friends. He does have feelings. He is his own entity. It is possible to hurt or even kill him but…you’d need a few things I’m not disclosing here. He likes pain so injuring him will just make him giggle.

I feel like I need to explain some things about Malice…

1) He kills for fun. And he is brutal. He has all of Atem’s fighting knowledge plus no remorse. It’s season zero all day everyday minus the morals.

2) he is almost as powerful as a god. He’s part of Zorc Necrophades and Atem gave him more power in DOMA when he took all the darkness of the world into himself. So he’s a contender with anyone.

3) if he catches you unless you have a viable escape plan or he wants to send a message, you’re probably going to die. Unless he takes a liking to you, and then gods help you.
