I'm an artist in my late 20's and a former scientist. I'm trans and multiply neurodivergent, running an 'operating system' sporting ADHD, anxiety, OCD, dissociative symptoms and heavily suspected autism. I worked in research from 2019 to 2024, and recently had to leave the field due to increasing difficulties with my disabilities that left me incapable of meeting the demands of research science.

Ok so before we dive in you need to know a couple of things about me.
1. I am a certified Fandom Old-Sort-Of, born in the 80s.
2. I'm not actually old, call me old and I will cut you. However you are allowed to refer to me as ancient or venerable.
3. I fixate on actors, a lot, to the point where my brain resembles pages upon pages of search results from IMDB.
4. I grew up watching, like, every iteration of Batman that made it onto television. So all of them.
5. I live in rarepair Hell. This is my home. I paid off the mortgage ages ago and I'm comfortable here.
We good? Cool.
Envision: The year is 2008, and The Dark Knight just came out.
2000 to 2010 was an interesting decade for comic book movies alone, because they started to shake off the truly crap reputation they had before this. If you want a good idea of how comic book films changed, just take a gander through the X-Men film franchise starting in 2000. Obviously the evolution of comic book movies is responsible for a number of things - ridiculous washboard abs on men and an inability to light your fucking set come to mind - but for now I'm just gonna focus on how it popularized a general shift in comics and how they were perceived in pop culture.
Just kidding! I'm not. I'm just gonna tell you that this shit was cool and it was a fun and revitalizing time for comic book fans. And it was a special time for me because it was when DC/Vertigo had the upper hand, before Marvel and Disney began to muscle in. Most of the canon being worked with I knew about.
When The Dark Knight dropped, there was a shift in fandom. We were getting edgier and darker and grittier and that was really fun, because a lot of us were growing up with it. But mostly, Heath Ledger's Joker was a fucking revelation, let me tell you. Amongst the fic writers there were a subset of (mostly gals) who were trying their hand at a Nolanverse!Harley Quinn, and I was one of them. (Do I need to explain how much I love Harley Quinn? Probably not. Harley, Selina and Ivy have a little place in my heart forever).
But there were other characters in the Nolanverse. Namely the prettiest villain alive, Jonathan Crane, and I decided to give him a boyfriend. But who? Thomas Schiff is who. But who is Thomas Schiff?
THIS FUCKING GUY.
Yeah you probably recognize him now.
At the time, David Dastmalchian had two or three acting credits to his name, not including a string of Wendy's commercials that absolutely delighted me whenever they came on. Did that matter to me? Fuck no. Did it matter that his character only had a few lines of backstory? Certainly not. That is the place in fandom where I live. I will come up with my own backstory, thank you very much, and it'll be way better than whatever anyone in charge can come up with, alright.
Fast forward seven years after hopping through different fandoms, and then I'm sitting down to watch Ant-Man in 2015. AND THERE HE IS.

However, I kept my cool (LAAAUGH I've never been cool). I didn't go back down that dark DC path and I didn't immediately tear through David's IMDB. Also, because Suicide Squad didn't come out until a year later, and it was... well, it was alright, though Margot Robbie's turn as Harley Quinn obviously was fantastic. Also, I hadn't watched Ant-Man and the Wasp until the other day because I was saving it for a rainy day (and boy howdy has it been raining).
Anyway, I've just been riding that Harley Quinn high, especially with Birds of Prey adding more nods to Batman: TAS, which is where a majority of Harley's backstory and literature is found (and is where I took most of my cues when writing my Nolanverse fic). So imagine my surprise when I watched The Suicide Squad trailer the other day for her and there's my boy again, not only all growed up but FUCKIN' FEATURING. As the most RIDICULOUS VILLAIN EVER.
I lost my mind. Went feral. I broke into my old LJ. I'm now fixating and downloading and watching everything. It's all gonna get reblogged. Your dashes will become littered with his pointy lil face. Fanfic might happen. You know how it is.
So, to summarize: I used to write Batman fanfic featuring a side character and another character who didn't even make it into that set of movies, and now they're both in a movie together and look, guys, sometimes your fandom dreams do come true. However, it might take a decade, by which point you're legitimately too confused about everything to do anything but just fixate all over again.

I would want to see them do something akin to hitchcock or anderson. ooooo or a tim burton concept. hell ya.
8. Have you ever had a dream with any of the members in it?
lmfao. yes a lot. one time i dreamt that jungkook helped me move and he was very nice about me using him as basically free muscle. also, fun fact i dreamt the first chapter of power couple 🤭
9. If you could spend the day with one member, who would it be and what would you do?
As much as I would love to spend the day hiking with Joon I think my biggest dream is to go to a nice whiskey bar with Yoongi and try old blends with him and just discuss our philosophies of life. I think it would be very fun.
10. Which member do you think you could get along with best?
Probably Yoongi or Namjoon since I’m pretty similar to the personas they portray publicly.
11. Which member do you think you would argue with?
Jin and I have the same personality type which only would lead to arguments LOL. I also think Jimin might be too extra for me and I might be too extra for him and we would clash.
12. If you had to let one member scroll through your tumblr, who would it be?
