Fay is demi-bisexual, though he's only been in one relationship (ish) in his life, and it was with a woman. Having dedicated most of his teens and 20s to studying medicine, doing research, and publishing his thesis, he never had time to dedicate to a steady relationship. There were people here and there that he liked, but it never went further than a crush due to his spoaradic and busy schedule. Being demi, he also wasn't having one night stands or hookups during his down time, needing to establish a deeper connection/bond with someone to go that far, but again, having no time. He couldn't maintain any friendships, either.

Komari

Believe it or not, Ko-chan is bisexual as well, despite being boy *cough* Akio *cough* crazy. Ko is young and hasn't had any serious relationships, but she realized she was into girls when she developed a crush on her best friend growing up. They had a secret relationship for about a year when she was 15, but the girl, whose father was a tech tycoon and often moved around for work, picked up the whole family and moved to Alola when he began working for the Aether foundation. They lost contact very soon after and she often wonders what became of the girl...

The Managers: Mitsu & Ren

Of course our iconic gay duo, husbands Mitsu and Ren (respectively), also known as Furuka's dads! Although more so side characters to this blog who make minor appearances, Mitsu met Ren when Komari was assigned to shadow Furuka as a new and upcoming idol. Ren, begrudgingly, was her manager at the time. The two harbored a secret relationship for a while, and upon coming out to Furuka, realized it wasn't so secret after all (everyone had deduced it, even Fay, they weren't exactly discreet despite thinking so).

Furuka is the only straight one on this blog, but she is 100% an ally, having two dads and all 🤣

Little Insights

Mitsu

-Mitsu is very conflicted over the fact that he is Furuka’s manager, often having feelings of fatherly love towards her and having to remind himself he is only a business partner. 

-Despite only seeming to care about the company’s interests and rules (yelling at her over Akio, over booking, etc) he actually does have Furuka’s best interests in mind. He realizes that if he doesn’t follow the contract rules he could lose his idol, and understands the consequences that will have on somebody in her position. If the company were to have any suspicion of a contract breach, not only will they terminate her, but make is so that she will never fulfill another idol contract again (ruin her reputation permanently.)

-In the public eye he may sometimes seem cold and reserved, but at home he is extremely excitable and easy going, much like Fay (and maybe that’s another reason there is so much tension between them)

-Mitsu is very jealous of Fay. Despite the fact that he gets to live with Furuka and spend the most time with her, he believes he will never be on the intimate family level that Fay is allowed to be on with her. He sometimes wishes he actually was related to her so that he could properly take care of her.
