goblin shark goblin Mitsu is here again to secure stray forbidden tomes that wander into terrestrial libraries, and this time she's brought the rest of her team.

 Sagami is the frilled shark lady who's head of Protection, physical and mental. some cults do NOT want to give up their tomes and some tomes do NOT want to get got. she's basically here to punch assholes in cloaks so Mitsu can work and create wards against unnaturally occurring madness.

Rea, the greenland shark lady, is the team's advanced translator and sacrificial editor. she's still pretty young at only 152 but she should totally be dead by now, a fact which makes the branch of Sedna's Fingers that raised her pretty smug. she translates books with words as well as books where the concept of words (or books) becomes debatable, and whenever a Rough Draft shows up she makes sure it's like, physically tolerable before letting it come in contact with anyone else.

They literally say their ship name aloud in the show and Yui is constantly hugging Azusa, which Azusa refuses to admit she enjoys. Very cute ship between a doting senpai and kitten kouhai

Mitsu

Opposites attract! And their entire class in senior year agree, since they voted Mio and Ritsu to play Romeo and Juliet for the school play.

Mugitsu

They have one episode's worth of solo interaction, but it was so cute! Ritsu teaching a rich girl like Mugi the wonders of dollar-store candy and cheap arcades? Excellent ship!

MioAzu

It's a shame KyoAni didn't adapt Azusa's crush on Mio from the manga. Imagine the antics that would ensue if Azusa was part of the Mio fanclub!?

Yuitsu

When these two are together, they share the same braincell, making it hard to imagine them being romantic. Unless it's a bit, in which case they will commit to it, like always. Now just wait until it Stops Being A Bit.

It's a shame they had a single solo interaction in the show. Mugi's readiness to learn and Azusa's enthusiasm to teach was delightful.

Yui was rather fixated on Mio during their first year. Perhaps it was Mio beauty? Her patience? Her knowledge about music? Or maybe just the squishiness of her calloused fingers?

Ritsu's a tease to everyone, but I do feel the shift in power dynamic when she teases Azusa. She's both senpai AND buchou! Thankfully offset by how much more competent Azusa is. And besides, what's a little bit of hazing between friends?

YuiMugi

They say the quickest way to a person's heart is through their stomach. That certainly seems to be the case for Yui. Mugi downright spoils her rotten!

MioMugi

I had a vision while drawing this: the club room at sunset; Mio focused writing a new song. Mugi lays a cup of tea on the table next to Mio, her fingers brushing Mio's hand as she pulls back. Neither remark on the touch but smile konwingly to themselves.
