Gefradah - Dead state, Best Conditions

Oh man, I discovered this one by pure chance. I was watching a TF2 SFM animation and there was this scene where Snipes was walking in the rain at night and god no other song would have fit better than this one. Wish I could remember who made it, all their animations were very unsettling/creepy and I loved them....Anyways, Gefradah is a one-man post-rock project from Ukraine. I love this dude's music. Wish he released stuff more frequently...

Classical genre: I don't care if people have overused/misused O Fortuna for entire decades to the point where 99% of the world has grown tired of it, I still fucking love this song and  the entire cantata to death and I'd listen to this for three decades more because it's so intense and beautiful.  I have the full concert on CD lol.

Cello Suite No. 1 interpreted by Mischa Maisky 

Classical period: I've listened to many interpretations of this suite but none are like Mischa's. I guess it's because most tend to go for accuracy rather than sentiment...Either way this interpretation made me fall in love with classical music again.

If you've followed me for a while you'll know how hard it is for me to pick a favorite, especially when it comes to music; but I can tell you without a doubt that this is one of my favorite songs made by one of my favorite bands in the entire world. I discovered this song (and this band) thanks to Chronicle (which happens to be one of my favorite films heh). The movie made me tear up at the end, but this song was the reason I got out of the theater nearly bawling my eyes out. This song perfectly captured the whole feeling of the movie and there's just something so beautiful and sublime about it- no one will make somehting like this EVER again.

Stromae is also one of my favorite artists ever. This song in particular is very special to me because of the theme it addresses- children with absent fathers. This sums up my feelings in their entirety and if I ever worked up the courage to talk to my dad about this, I would be satisfied with just giving him this song.

dream journal - entry #1

I used to do this some time ago and it helped me get longer and more creative dreams, so I'm gonna do this again!

So this time I was in a kind of space shuttle, with a bunch of old classmates. Apparently touring through the galaxy was normal in the dream because we had a guide and everything that explained to us where we were and such.

It was very beautiful!! We were near a galaxy cluster and it had sooo many beautiful galaxies! At the center of one of them there was an empty space- a supermassive black hole!! I was excited to find one because I'm a space nerd and black holes are super cool.

We walked around the spaceship and I used a public telescope (???) to spot my favourite galaxies like the God's Eye galaxy and the M83 galaxy. They were pretty accurate when compared to their non-dream counterparts so I'm proud that my subconscious is able to recreate sutff like that so well.

So afterwards somehow it stopped being a space tour and it was now an expedition mission to another planet or satellite. I think it was to the moon but I'm not sure.

We arrived at the planet and it was pretty bleak- gray sand, desert vegetation and abandoned Earth-style buildings. It had an earthly feel to it but I was positively sure I was not on Earth.

The tour guide informed us we were going to go to an abandoned mine to dig for useful materials. He also informed us this was dangerous because the last team had disappeared because they were supposedly attacked by the aliens living in the mine.

The mine itself was surrounded by empty, half-built buildings that were very dark, so I steered away from them because in my dreams I'm usually scared of those places haha.

We were going down but suddenly I got afraid- we could hear strange noises and it got really dark really quickly. I got scared and ran off again to the surface. Everyone was gone but me, so I knew the aliens/cave monsters killed them.

I was being chased by this thing which was transparent and completely invisible to the human eye, and I somehow managed to fool it and hide at the top of a nearby cliff.

When I looked down I saw that none other than N was now being chased by the same thing that killed everyone else, and I knew I had to rescue him. I jumped down and looked everywhere, but couldn't find him.

I feared the worst, but when I turned around I saw he had killed the thing with his martial arts superpowers (??? i don't even??) annnnd that is what I remember the most haha.

This was obviously influenced by the fact that I had seen Transformers the day before and that I've read several astronomy articles that same night (and ofc that I can't stop thinking about N but that's a whole 'nother thing hehe).

I gotta look up what does it mean to dream with galaxies/space travel. I do know that being afraid of going down a hallway or stairs means being afraid of one's subconscious (which is a recurring thing in my dreams)- at least I kind of went down this time so I'm progressing??

Also I guess empty buildings is the same as being in a decrepit building which is a reflection of one's own self-image BUT I might be wrong (and I kinda hope I'm wrong lmao). Will look into that as well!!

I wonder what kinda dream I'll have tonight!

1. What are you wearing? Tights, t-shirt. I should probably change.

2: Ever been in love? I don't like using that phrase because I'm a dork- but yeah let's say I've been. Multiple times.

3: Ever had a terrible breakup? Harsh, yes. But it was necessary and I didn't even cry so uhh yeah.

4: How tall are you? I'm still at 1.65 m (5"5') and I doubt I'll get any taller. Sadly.
