H.L. Hix, By the way, about pain, a question.
Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.
Lance Armstrong
I don't normally post personal stuff. This blog is focused on the media I am currently watching and my latest ship. When I think about it, it's actually pretty much personal. Because that's something that is mine, that's something I am interested in and passionate about.
Right now, however, I just need to get something off my chest. And it's not Sen Çal Kapımı or Edser-related. It's me-related.
I always felt awfully inadequate about my pain. As if my pain wasn't really painful. And my grief wasn't grief at all. Because there were people who had suffered and lost far more than I had. And all my traumas weren't really traumas. Just look around - how life ran over these, how it left those with nothing.
But then at some point I just stopped. Stopped caring about the initial causes, stopped comparing whose reasons were worse, whose experiences had been more brutal. Because pain is pain. Traumas are traumas. They are mine. I got what I got. And if what I have been and lived through isn't as horrible as what someone else has been through, it doesn't mean my experiences didn't devastate me, like war, or that they didn't bury me alive and made me claw my way out. Because they did. I had to pull myself from the pit of despair and loneliness and such unbearable... nothingness. So I just want whoever reads this (if anyone reads this) to know: if you have ever felt like that too, you're not alone. And I hope this helps and makes everything a little bit easier, a little more bearable.
You know that feeling of... when you’ve been in pain for so long you’ve gotten used to it, and then one day, out of the blue, you realize it’s gone? And then, instead of feeling relief, all you feel is worry because instead of enjoying your pain-free life, you’re consumed by the fear of the pain returning?
...anyone else get like that?
[emergency broadcast]
You’re like if I was a person
If I was real
But I’m not
And something makes my chest ache
And something makes me ashamed
It went uncontested
I’m not sure if I’m a person anymore
Or if I ever was to begin with
