TEN ( education ). too much of it really, I do not want to go back ever again ELEVEN ( dream job ). librarian, which I am! TWELVE ( the meaning behind your url ). It’s sort of half a joke -- Noriko’s big motif is birds because she’s basically an au of a character with a very english name. As a means to honor that I thought I’d keep little hints of it in things like her brother’s name, background elements, etc. The scales part is in reference to her need of balance -- at this stage she’s thrown herself into a few activities with full force mostly as a distraction from her own grief. If she’s too tired and too busy to do much more than get through the day she doesn’t have time to really focus on her feelings, but this also means she doesn’t leave herself room to make connections with people, which would help with those feelings. Because at this rate she’s setting herself up to be a workaholic who’s going to be heading into adulthood with no means to cope other than basing her whole life around a job. And she hasn’t exactly chosen a low-stress option.
