☆ ( booboo stewart, male, he/him) ☆ that over there would be (reuben ollivander ), the ( 28 ) year old ( half-blood ) who ( did not ) fight during the global wizarding war. they attended ( hogwarts ) and are a ( ravenclaw ) alum. which is fitting considering they are ( studious ), yet ( arrogant ). they are a/an ( non-affiliated ) and also work as a/an ( wand maker/shop apprentice ). every time i see them, it’s like ( hopeless wanderer by mumford & sons ) is playing in my head. ( thick forest of magical woods, overflowing mugs of butterbeer, disorganized and unkempt appearance ). ☆
As the son of Garrick Ollivander, Reuben grew up around all things wand related. When his father helped him find his first wand, it wasn’t just about making sure it was the right fit. Garrick made sure that Reuben understood EXACTLY what his wand would mean for him, what he could expect to learn, what he would need to teach his wand, and what darker tendencies that he should make an extra effort to stay away from. In fact, Reuben was ridiculed during his first year for constantly pointing out all of the similarities between another student and their wand when he first met them. While his teachers were impressed, Reuben eventually decided that, for the time being, it would be better to not overshare his knowledge that he had gotten from home.
His time at school was more of a way to spend time than anything else for Reuben. While he’s quite clever and witty, he did the bare minimum to get through which really frustrated some of his housemates. Many of the other Ravenclaw students didn’t understand why he was always out exploring the grounds or taking a nap when there was extra credit work to be done or house points to be earned.
Upon graduation, Reuben set off on a backpacking tour around Eurasia in search of new wand woods and cores. His dad had several theories of what may work in addition to what they already knew, but Reuben took it upon himself to try to find out on his own. During these few years, he became quite comfortable living in nature. It was calming, and it gave him an excellent way to escape politics and other petty things that he often hears other wizards complaining about. Right now, he’s planning the same kind of trip to the Americas, but until he can figure out all of the logistics, he’s helping his dad run the store in Diagon Alley. Though, he will admit that helping first years find their wands is one of the best parts of the job. It makes putting up with their parents worth it, most of the time.

Familial: Canonically, he has a sister, but there’s not much known about her. I’d love to see her here!
Platonic: One or two close friends from Hogwarts, various friends he’s met during his travels, anyone who has connections to people such as veela, giants, or goblins.
Romantic: Exes, Hookups, he’s probably never had an actual relationship because he prefers being alone, but that could change.
