ooo hard choice. he is honestly full of many. by in game events a lot of it has to do with sister gwyneth ‘ should have seen it coming. should have warned her. should have talked to her more ’

in verses w his otp they have a little black cat named zombie. by default though he is one of those dads who didnt want pets — scene one: ‘ we cant take care of that. thats a bad idea. ‘ scene two: richter tucking pet into bed with a big blanket

37. What is the worst injury they have experienced?

he has overall been pretty lucky in terms of battlewounds. maybe a bullet graze. possibly fractured a toe. his canon starvation experience was the most physically and mentally traumatic occurrence for him

40. What is their favorite type of weather?

hed say when atom blesses the island with a radstorm its a good day— but the survivalist in him prefers clear days with high visibility

57. What is a sensation / texture they cannot stand?

hahaha getting touched bothers him but its a social / tough guy thing. if he feels safe and can relax he cant get enough though he also feels pain more minutely than any of my other characters so he would be much grumpier about things like burlap. it would be hard for anyone to tell though because he just seems grumpy all the time anyway haha

hell try really hard to act tough and indifferent but his concern for the wellbeing of little animals gets very obvious

the dog

whether it’s the way you bare your teeth when backed in a corner, your loyalty, or your tendency to act on instinct, your reoccurring theme is the dog. like mitski said “i get mean when im nervous, like a bad dog” or how halsey said “i won’t smile but i’ll show you my teeth” even when migos said “dance with my dogs in the night time” the essence of the dog runs through you. you’re tough and a quick draw on the outside, but if we got down to it we’d see you’re acting the only way you’ve ever known how. it doesn’t make you bad, survival is natural, your loyalty and determination is commendable. i don’t blame you for the way you act when your back is against a wall, but please remember to not bite the hand that feeds.

richter dynamics that flow well:

‘ my child now ’  — richter is a chronic adopter of other peoples characters. sometimes its literal children but other times its creatures or ‘innocent’/nonthreatening adults

the dragon trope — for friendship ( and possibly romance ) he makes a good ( and dangerous ) right hand man

hes a guard dog type in general

the manipulated — i really like writing these kinds of relationships because richter doesnt have a strong personal sense of morality and he can be played pretty effectively by different characters ( works romantically or platonically )

inspired to grey — richters cynical and tends to view ‘good’ characters as naive — and also if someone hasnt ever killed something to make themselves feel better how can their way of life mean anything to his own? for this reason its characters who have their own list of sins but still reach for something better that are more relatable and inspiring for him than someone who has always been true to their values

honestly he doesnt have people lining up for his friendship so hes generally easy to charm if youre not a threat to his safety or the safety of who he protects and arent annoying

hes affected by a good looking body/face more than he wants to admit

being a member of the coa ( genuinely or not ) is basically a +5 to anyones charisma for him

theres probably more to say — though this is presented in bullet form my thoughts arent organized about this at all. richter is generally a ‘safety in numbers’ type and prefers being a member of a community but he values the safety and efficiency to a deep level as well. no one is worth putting the family at risk, not even himself nor his own quality of life
