Sully would live a quiet, boring life if it wasn't for his much more engaging and energetic sister and friends. The "kill joy" of his trio, they often have to convince him to join in on activities-- like riding shot gun in a street race or bungee jumping at a very risky looking carnival. He secretly enjoys every bit of it, but he also has enough sense to mot go overboard. An important distinction when dealing with his more thrill seeking friends.
That said, because of this, he ends up taking a lead role in many areas of his life. He's the one who plans things out rather than rushes in, or researches or any number of things he might have to get into to make sure the people around him don't go too into the deep end. Because of this, he has learned how to improvise quite well and take the twisting turns of his life in stride--even if he complains about it after.
If not for all the adventure, he might not have the fodder for his comics.
Skills: Muay Thai, artistic, negotiation, fast learner
Bio: tw parent death, depression mention
Eisuke would say he had enough excitement for his entire life within the first decade or so. His family moved around a lot. His mother had him quite young, and her then boyfriend disappeared, leaving her to raise her son alone. When he was three years old she married his step father, a travelling businessman who worked all parts of the world. Such a life excited Kanae who had spent her life feeling trapped despite living in a big city.
Rex Sullivan was a kind if distant man who did his best to raise Eisuke, especially after Kanae fell ill after having her second child, Penny. At ten years old, his mother passed-- part of why he became so serious over the years.
With how busy Rex often was, Eisuke spent a lot of time with nanny's and babysitters and eventually was on his own. Because of how often he moved, Eisuke met a lot of people, learned about different cultures. But he never felt tied to one place and friends came and went. He was an ambivert who liked socializing but also wasn't a fan of large parties and group settings. Sometimes he wondered if that made him boring.
Luckily, he and his little sister were close and he never felt lonely. It wasn't until he went to college and found himself settled in place for a while that Eisuke came to realize how much he wanted to just... Stay put somewhere. Not go on another adventure.
So he and Penny moved in together after he graduated, found jobs, and tried to live a normal, less exciting life. Penny hated it. She found her own source of excitement, got into trouble with friends, and Eisuke sighed each time as he bailed her out of her next jam. This was how he met his best friend, Gene. Gene was a party boy who liked motorcycles and spontaneity. Penny invited him to crash on their couch after his family kicked him out, and at first Eisuke wanted nothing to do with him.
Then Gene surprised him. Eisuke had been working hard on his art, trying to get his comic published but having trouble moving it forward. Gene helped him out of his art block. He was pretty good for bouncing off ideas and loved social media, far more than Eisuke did. Together they made a promo that went viral and Eisuke's comic began generating enough income he could quit his day job.
Gene and Penny dragged Eisuke with them everywhere when they could. As much as he complained, he and his sister were more alike than he wanted to admit-- he liked the adventure just as much as she did. At least until the accident.
Eisuke tagged along with Gene to a party-- the kind of party that had all sorts of unsavory people looking for a good and bad time. They got separated, and when Eisuke found Gene, the other had been dared into a race and no amount of fighting with him could get Gene to rethink. When asked to be his partner, Eisuke couldn't just say no. If Gene was in it, so was he.
Eisuke woke up a week later in the hospital, barely remembering the crash that almost killed him. It took months for him to recover and get back to his work, and all the while, Gene was still in the hospital, in a coma.
He wouldn't admit it, but the whole thing had killed his spark. Depression lurked under everything he did and nothing Penny said seemed to help. Eventually, she stopped trying and when she got a promotion at her own job, she moved away, leaving Eisuke alone, his savings dwindling and a feeling like something wasn't right anymore.

thank you for tagging me @likerealpeopledo-on-ao3
favorite color: I have lots of favorites for different things? I love turquoise as an accent color in decorating. I love to wear red even though I don't own much red clothing (it's mostly black). But my persistent favorite color is purple. I don't wear much purple and I don't decorate with purple but it's been my favorite since I was a kid. Actually, my 3 favorites were always blue, pink, and purple... If only I'd known then what I know now!
currently reading: I haven't been reading much of anything, although I want to and I've been trying. My head is just not in a reading place right now. It's very difficult to concentrate on anything long enough to get into it. Reading and writing are both too strenuous at the moment. I did just get my first pair of glasses, though, so perhaps that might help with the reading.
Last Song: Awake by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Last Series: I'm giving Lucifer another try. Crime dramas still bore me, but I've come to like these characters. It's my background TV while I work. I wish I could get my eyeliner to look as good as Lucifer's.
Last Movie: The Fear Street trilogy on Netflix. I loved it!
sweet, savory, or spicy: all of the above!
Craving: I just ate Coco Crispies for lunch so I'm good right now.
Tea or coffee: I never drink coffee, but I like a cup of tea every now and then.
Currently working on: Landscaping! Other than work work, that's all I've been doing the past couple of months. I've been replanting the garden, digging out roots and grass and other stuff in the yard, and staking out an area for a new patio. I've been *trying* to write in between all that, but as I said my head is just not cooperating. It's a very pulling teeth kind of process.
Thinking about that article from sid’s 1000th about how when he wants to get a point across he uses their first name instead of nickname
ahhhhh I’d forgotten about that anon!
I feel like when it comes to the guys that have been in the room a long time sully has a tendency to generally go with nicknames, whereas maybe when guys are newer that comfort level with the nicknames hasn’t quite been reached - tanev has been tans or tanny a lot more this season and there’s been a lot less of brandon, for example.
when it comes to sid, however, you can easily see that there would always be specific intent behind what he uses - he doesn’t really do anything without thinking. imagine having sid call you constantly by your nickname for weeks then out comes your full-on given name... you’d be like ‘uh oh, this one is gonna be a serious chat’ lol

Fandoms you write for: Just Schitt's Creek right now. (But I am very aware that I have unfinished business in other fandoms.)
Where You Post: AO3
Most Popular Oneshot: Going by kudos, All the Man That I Need (my super psychic Danception fic. Like, how? HOW, DANIEL?) Going by comments, it's the least popular? So there's something to think on.
Most popular multi chapter story: I... only have one. The Romance of the Century, and this feels like cheating because each "chapter" is basically a tiny one-shot. So, probably people have liked one "chapter" more than another.
Favourite story you wrote: Tomorrow's A-Whole-Nother Town. I just have a lot of feelings about Rachel. And Patrick. And Rachel and Patrick. The show opened up this whole mysterious background for Patrick and then kinda just left us hanging! Which is what fic is for. I require so much fic about this.
Story you were nervous to post: And I Just Might Say It Tonight because omg what even who is this person trying to write sexy fic? WHAT. Shhh. Don't look at me.
How do you pick your titles: My titles are always and will always be song lyrics. Usually the song is semi-related to the story, but sometimes I just like a fucking lyric, ok?
Do you outline: Sometimes? Sort of? Not really? But kinda? I mean... what is an outline even? For longer stuff, I always have certain points I want to hit. Usually certain conversations that need to happen, lines that I want to use. But also, like, what is plot? Basically, I always start with dialogue and work outward from there.
How many of your stories are complete? In SC, 4. Unless you count all of the "chapters" in Romance to be complete, then it's 8. I don't post unfinished work anymore. So, everything posted is a complete story.
In progress: I'm always dabbling with more snippets. I'm currently working on... several new things. There's a Rachel continuation happening alongside a Patrick fic... but I kind of want to see how s6 plays out before committing to those. My Rosebuddies have seen my WIP list. It's ridonk.
Coming soon: My Frozen Over Fest fic! Which I should definitely be working on because it's due in 3 days. And my Jam Basket. Which I should also be working on.
Do you accept prompts: No. Prompts give me anxiety. I can't deal with people expecting things from me. I realize I have voluntarily signed up for 2 prompt fests recently. I never said I was bright, guys, just really fuckin' pretty!
Upcoming story you’re excited about: MY ENTIRE WIP LIST! But mostly [redacted] and [redacted]. One of those contains Brewers. Lots of them.
I tag: @charmingpplincardigans @no-gorms @icmezzo @well-schitt and @picture-of-an-ghost (only if you want to)
