About Theodore

Theo was born and raised as a member of the Children of the Chosen and he has never once faltered in his loyalty or devotion to the family. As far as Theo knows, his mother died in service of the Chosen; according to his father, she was a hero. He has always looked up to her, though he can’t remember her much, and is prepared to go out in a blaze of glory just like her. There’s nothing Theo wouldn’t do for the cult. 

The truth, however, is that Theo’s mother was hunted down by the Chosen when she escaped the compound. It had never been her choice to join the family, she was merely dragged along by her husband and before she knew what she had signed up for it was too late. Bliss was used to control her when it became apparent that she had no plans to stay; for a time she was even conditioned with music.

When she became pregnant, she became even more determined to leave and did everything she could to break free of their hold, but in turn, she spent most of her pregnancy high on Bliss which caused Theo to become exposed to the substance before he was even born. As soon as his father’s attention turned to his son, Theo’s mother finally made her escape. No body was ever recovered, but due to Chosen members knowing they had shot her, she has been presumed dead since Theo was two years old.

Theo is a soldier. Wherever possible, he has put himself on to the front lines in an attempt to live up to the false stories of his mother. Even growing up in the compound he was always more detached from other people. The Chosen’s needs came before his own and that was an easier concept when he didn’t have to worry about making friends. That being said, Theo is a very charming man, capable of wrapping anyone around his finger.

He became a master of blending in with anyone, able to spin a story or situation in his favour with an alarming amount of ease. It wasn’t difficult to act like you cared about people when in fact you cared very little. It wasn’t long before the Original Family took notice of his talents and assigned him with a very special task: infiltrate the Resistance.

Theo took this assignment and ran with it as he is now the leader of the Resistance at Pleasant Meadows after working his way through the ranks for the past three years. People in the Resistance know him as being very charismatic and empathetic. As a leader, he can seem tough and sometimes intimidating, but he seems to genuinely care about everyone. He has become so convincing, that a few members of the Chosen have questioned his loyalties- though never to his face.

Truth is, he returns to the cult often to pass along information and has never once wavered in his beliefs. It doesn’t matter how many people he protects, or how many he flirts with, or spends time with, when it comes down to it, he would kill them all for the Chosen and not even think twice about it. 

Wanted Connections

Mother - She would have to be about 18+ years older than him and she’s been on the run from the Chosen for about 28 years. Probably still heavily affected by her exposure to Bliss and I imagine she only has fragments of memories before giving birth. Was shot and presumed dead. Can be a Filipino or half-Filipino fc, or white as Steven R. McQueen is 1/4 Filipino.

Best Friend - Someone in the Resistance, probably also at the Pleasant Meadows base. Maybe joined the Resistance around the same time as Theo or was someone that was already there and took him under his wing. They trust each other with their lives and are almost always together. They would have no idea that Theo was really with the Chosen or that he would kill them in a heartbeat if he had to.

INTRODUCTION

PAST/BIO: theo was born in london to his parents perseus and alexandra scamander. ever since he was a child, he was always exploring and fascinated by the world around him. he grew up loving reading, hearing stories about his great grandfather’s life and his brother’s adventures. there was a time he believed he might go on to be a magizoologist like newt but ultimately, once he got to hogwarts, potions was where he thrived.

at hogwarts he was sorted into ravenclaw and never felt more at home. being surrounded by others who put school and learning in front of most things. theo was social when he was outside of class, at meals, and what not but most time if you needed him, you could find him in the library reading some book on potions or asking the potion master if they had any other work for him to do. he joined the quidditch team as a chaser his fifth year per his mom’s recommendation. he was a skilled flyer and she believed a sport would help him develop better relationships and give him another hobby besides research (obviously, she saw her son and realized early on his tendency to be a workaholic).

once he graduated and accepted an internship with the potioneers at st. mungo’s, he felt like the world was making sense and going his way. one night when theo was twenty, he’d gone into the woods trying to harvest a rare ingredient for a potion when he was taken by surprise and attacked by a werewolf roaming the forest. if his father hadn’t known he was out there and hadn’t heard back from his son after a few hours, he may not have been found but luckily perseus found theo, bloodied and weak, but holding on. that day on, he turned into a monster society seemed to fear. never did he think anyone would look at him and assume he’d hurt anyone. now, some believed he’d just become a monster. that anger? it fueled him for the first year after his accident. it took plenty of work with a therapist for him to take that anger and find an outlet for it but even today, he would give anything to find that cure and move past the beast within.

if you want to get on his good side, simply offer to buy theo a pint. while he works his arse off, a night out isn’t something he’d always turn away from. drinking and partying became a form of coping after his attack and, while he went a bit overboard for a little bit, he’s turned it down a notch or two. now, he lives in london alone and works at st. mungo’s as a potioneer and researches to find a cure for himself and other wolves. if you ever need a potion, feel free to hit him up because, honestly, brewing helps him relax.
