fanfic ask meme: H: How would you describe your style? K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with? Y: A character you want to protect. Z: Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?
H: How would I describe my style? So I am all over with my style? Or maybe that is just to me. I am not even sure how to describe it, but I know it is ever involving. I like to try and balance dialog and description. Another thing is that I really like to give insight on what my character is thinking while doing. Recently I have done things like ‘tch’, ‘hnn’, ‘shit’ and just little sentence like that. It isn’t really ‘correct’ writing style, but I feel it adds realness. Maybe that is just me. Lol.
K: What’s the angstiest idea I’ve ever come up with?
The ANGSTIEST idea? Oh. Mhm. I come up with angst for my roleplays more then writing. I like to focus on smut for my writing. I mean my Rough Night fanfic for Yuri on Ice is about Yuri getting raped, so I suppose that is angsty? I mean it was a rape play scene, so I don’t know if that counts. It was more about making people believe it was real then revealing it wasn’t when the scene was over. So yeah, idk.
Y: A character I want to protect.
You mean all of them? No? Um. Geez I really don’t know. I usually end up adoring asshole characters who need to be put in their place... so yeahhhh. Maybe Lance? Oh! Or Derek. Let Derek have happiness.
Z: Major character death-do I ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?
I am not an angst person. Usually end up reading fix-its, fanfics where a character canonly dies and it gets fixed. I am a baby. I need happy endings. And if their is a character death, better not be major. So no, I don’t even write it. Not my bread and butter. I write kinky and/of fluffy stuff.
