Full Name: Chloe Cordelia Meadows Age: 25 (verse dependent) D.O.B: September 13 Height: 5′ 5″ Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Romantic Orientation: Biromantic Languages: English | French Abilities: Vitakinesis (Can only heal others, not herself)
Chloe grew up in an upper middle class family in Connecticut. Her mother is a cardiothoracic surgeon and her father is an orthopedic surgeon, so going into the medical field always felt like it was her only choice. From an early age, she was even set up to do so. In fact, even as a child, her studies were the most important thing to her, forgoing most social events and interactions, even using recess as a chance to get ahead on homework and her own personal reading (which were, generally, textbooks rather than novels or anything of the sort).
By the age of 15, when her powers finally manifested, she was already in her joint junior/senior year of high school and taking two college level classes. She had virtually no friends and no life outside of her academics. She was set to go Harvard to follow in her parents’ footsteps, a full scholarship at her fingertips. And then her father was the victim in a hit and run accident while he was out for a jog and her whole world felt like it was about to collapse. Chloe had never been afraid of hospitals, she had grown up in them, after all. But no one can ever really be ready to see a loved one lying unconscious in a hospital bed, the slow beeping of a heart monitor, hearing the muffled conversation of her mother and another doctor outside of the door to the small room. It was on the first night that her powers manifested. She did nothing more than place her hand against his and, immediately, she felt it. Although her father was fully recovered, the teenager soon fell unconscious- though she had not taken on his injuries, she felt the pain of them.
A week later, she found herself making a new home at Xavier’s Institute.
At current, she works as a nurse at the school, though she is trained in general fighting, as well, so that she can accompany the team on missions if needed. However, she feels more comfortable off the battlefield.
Personality wise, Chloe is kind hearted, but quiet. She tends to stick to herself most of the time, though it’s mostly because it’s what she’s used to. Her socialization skills, however, are much better now than they were when she first arrived. At the institute, now that she was away from her parents and the pressure she felt for perfection because of them, she finally found a chance to make friends and find other hobbies. (She’s even learned how to play the piano!). Although she isn’t a teacher, she does sometimes substitute teach when someone is ill or away. She’s also always open for tutoring sessions and general homework help. In fact, some of the students have grown quite close to her and will seek her out not just for educational help or healing, but for emotional help and advice.
