Where did the #WePurpleUTaehyung hashtag come from? And 'we purple you' What's the context behind them?

Hi anon! This came from Muster3 or last year’s fan meeting. When we didn’t have the second version of ARMY bombs yet that changes light color, ARMYs did a fan project during the fan meeting wherein they distributed purple colored bags to put over the lightsticks to create a purple ocean for bangtan, to symbolize flowers or a flower path road.

After that purple ocean project it was time for each member to say a some final words, and part of what taehyung said was:

Do you know what purple means? Purple is the last color of the rainbow colors. Purple means I will trust and love you for a long time. I just made it up.

Taehyung made up a meaning for the color purple when he saw the fan event. So whenever ARMYs refer to him we use ‘We Purple You!’ as something to mean we love you! because of that meaning he gave. ^_^ Watch video here: https://twitter.com/taehyungpic/status/857484083932176389?lang=en

taehyung really likes eating burgers. manager sejin said that everyone would eat the same thing for a meal but taehyung would still want to eat burger hehehe~ he was on the fancafe yesterday really late and asked about what movie to watch and buying a film camera. he’s studying photography but he said it’s very difficult and asked ARMYs to stop him from giving up hehehe~ our taehyungie

hello anon~ our taehyungie has a moon on the inside of his left heel and a sun on the inside of his right heel. We don’t actually know yet if they are tattoos or just henna… I think they’re tattoos ^_^ the sun and the moon~ © // ©

i've got a few things to say to pretty much all dramas with an idol actor. every one of them dying is getting predictable. i knew from the beginning what would happen, because it's their cheap way of getting an emotional response from fans of that idol. idk taehyung barely had any screentime to begin with, and it was a great springboard for him, but i'm just bitter that this happens all the time

actually idol actors usually die in dramas because they can’t commit to the whole filming schedule of the drama. since they’re really really busy with their group’s own schedule so usually they’re given a character who eventually has to exit the drama earlier. And that’s what also happened with taehyung in Hwarang. if he’s gonna commit to a drama fully, Bangtan won’t be able to promote as a group until it’s done.

Hello!! So there was one time one of the BTS members (i think V) had a iphone case which had a special meaning to it like it was about japanese woman's rights or something like that? Any chance you know what i'm talking about or the brand?

hello anon, the brand is MARYMOND ^_^ one of the brands partner/advocacy is helping support Japanese comfort women survivors. Also it’s this phone case and he also wore their sweater too.

is there any actual video where taehyung explicitly said he didn't like being called alien or 4d or is it just a fandom policy to get people to stop calling him those things? reading comments on this video /watch?v=XZSiFJ1_sYw didn't know about this before anyways

I mean, we have other nicknames for taehyung we can use. There should be no problem if we stop using those nicknames for him, bangtan members stopped using that on him too.

Why was tae grieving? What was he going through besides hwarang? Sorry if I'm supposed to know this

In today’s fanmeeting, taehyung shared to us that his grandmother passed away last September 3rd. They were here in the Philippines for Show Champion in Manila when taehyung got the call. And from then on he couldn’t share or tell ARMYs why he seemed sad lately. We all noticed the change in him then, and now we know the reason why. Taehyung’s grandma is the one who took care of him from when he was a baby. She’s really a precious person in his life.

Taehyung also shared that it was his grandmother’s 49th day of passing when they got their first win for BS&T on Music Bank. Full translation of his meant from ©jeongmilk
