my future.
i have very high standards for who i want to be even if i dont know exactly what i want to be. i want a moderately/very well paying job that i really enjoy. I told my mom that i wanted to go to stanford and she told me that it is a possibility but not very likely on the account that i have a C and a D. the rest are As and Bs. (im in 8th grade)
she said i have to learn to find out what the teacher wants and to deliver. "playing the game" she called it. it doesnt sound like a very fun game. Doing tedious work to please teachers just so that you can get high marks in hopes that maybe the endless slaving after these people can pay off in order to get you into a good college where you advance to another level of the endless game.
she also wants me to put myself out there so that my teachers know i care. my teachers should know i care when i show up for class and actually bother to be interested in what they have to say. thats how i show my interest.
