How to Excel in Mathematics?
Me? I am not good at mathematics at all, let’s say I’m just an average student when it comes to this subject. But I changed a lot when I entered 9th grade. I listed 5 tips for you all to be good at math. I hope it helps :D
Be Friends with someone who is Good at Math
Being friends with a Math wiz is an advantage, because as your friendship grow you will eventually learn their study habits and apply it to yourself.
Keep Legible Notes + Organize Them
One thing is to be sure that your math notes are well-organized. When you get home you should always practice answering the same math problem you have done in school. In this case the step-by-step process will be fixed in your mind, and it will be easier for you to answer equations using that method.
Don’t Forget the Formulas
We all know that the subject has a lot of formulas. And by memorizing those formulas it will be just a piece for you, and of course correct practice will make it perfect.
Practice! Practice! Practice
Practicing math problems should be a habit. You should always try to solve as many times as you can after school, and when you get home. Do not just read because you will forget it eventually, just try to solve the same problem 2 to 3 times. And do not cram/ procrastinate a day before the exam, just allot 5-day study time and you are good to go.
To be able to Perfect a Skill you need a 10,000 hours of Practice to Master a certain Skill.
Watch Math Videos on YouTube
This is probably one of the most effective tips to do. I actually had a hard time during my junior high school years, but then I rely on watching tutorials if I do not understand a topic or a lesson. It was actually an easy way to learn, and make it a hobby.
It helped me a lot, and I hope you guys can also apply these tips in your daily study life (specially in math). Thank you, spread the word!
