I’m speechless…. Posted @withregram • @mariashriver Today, President Zelensky visited Bucha to witness the atrocities committed by Russian troops. Last night, he spoke to the world at the Grammy’s, saying “Support us in any way you can. Any, but not silence.” Today, his face truly says so much as he bares witness to this genocide. Millions have been forced from their homes. Cities have been decimated. Families have been separated. We need to keep talking. We need to not look away at the pain, at the horror, because when we look away, how does this end? I know these images are hard to sit with, hard to look at, but we must fight becoming numb to this. We must also ask what is happening in our own neighborhoods here in the United States. There is so much gun violence, opioid destruction, families being ripped apart in so many ways. It all matters. Let us fight becoming numb. Let us fight our own urge to scroll past. We can come together — I really hope that we can move beyond political polarization, that we can move beyond division, and we can move beyond thinking somone doesn’t understand. Let’s move to a place of thinking our neighbors want to understand, want to care, want to listen. We can move beyond numbness to caring! #abovethenoise (at Miami Beach, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb82Xr2LwSP/?utm_medium=tumblr
