The Best Revenge Is Dressing Well
My Bingo Card, Feel Free To Borrow and/or Use! :)
Obviously I want the writers to do whatever the fuck they want with season 2, this is just for fun!
i'm here to argue for Swede Fang and Frenchie being Neutral Good. Swede never actively does good things but he's very sweet and confused. Same goes for Fang, and Frenchie's only crimes have been against rich racists so he's fine. (Roach is of course chaotic neutral)
hmm yeah i can see frenchie being in good, but im gonna say he's definitely chaotic. we put abshir in in chaotic good so i feel like he and frenchie should hang out there together (pyramid scheme subplot my beloved)
swede is sweet and confused but i think he could be talked into crimes pretty easily so i'm gonna keep him in neutral. probably true neutral, but idk
fang we don't see enough of unfortunately. he's very sweet but he did hiss at the crew the one time. i'm gonna say lawful (follows orders for the most part, goes through the proper unionizing channels when it's time to mutiny against izzy) neutral for now, hopefully we get more of him in s2 so we can make a better judgement call
Underrated hottie of Our Flag Means Death but can we take a moment to appreciate how fucking fine Abshir is in the party episode??
I haven’t seen a single gif set of Stede’s adorable face as he tries to get in on Frenchie and Olu’s shenanigans so I must once again subject everyone to my tumblr-made gifs ;-;
TRIGGER WARNING: CHILD ABANDONMENT/ABUSE
Here is the part that introduces Abshir. @magic-is-something-we-create
At one time, he was a little more social, but the last year, things had gotten more… tense at home. His father had left him and his mother after discovering that his mother lied about what she was all these years.
She was angry and bitter. Kion didn’t understand. He didn’t quite grasp what the issue was with his mother, or why she suddenly went from cheerful and always wanting to spend time with him to shutting herself off from the world. He hardly ever saw her. And when he did, the experience was… to say not great would be an extreme understatement.
So as he grew older, he grew less and less social. He stopped caring about what others thought about anything, but especially him. If his own mother didn’t care, why should he care about what anyone else felt, right?
But then he met this kid and everything changed in him. At least when it came to the kid, it changed.
The kid’s name was Abshir. The day he introduced himself, it felt like life was congratulating him for finally meeting someone that made him want to feel again, to trust again. Just one look at him and he wanted to lay it all down.
They became intensely close immediately. They would always be playing together. Abshir knew that Kion was unable to play in the sun, though he wasn’t aware as to why. Even Kion didn’t understand at the time.
But then one day, Kion’s mother changed for the worse. She went from completely ignoring him to suddenly and ferociously angry. She yelled and cursed at him, told him what a curse he was to her and that if it wasn’t for him, his father never would have left her.
And one day, after playing at Abshir’s house, Kion came back home to find it empty. Every room in the house except for his own bedroom were completely void of anything. There was no sign that anybody else had lived there.
He was confused and hurt, but part of him was glad. His mother had become intensely emotionally abusive and he couldn’t handle it anymore. He had begun to have terrifying thoughts he had never had before and his mother’s disappearance, while he definitely felt the abandonment, also brought him peace.
