After almost 9 and a half years of service at my job, and after killing myself for a company that has historically treated me very badly, my boss, who has given me little to no negative feedback to this point, is now starting the process of getting me fired. Because I have had physically debilitating medical issues the past couple months and made the mistake of trusting my manager and co-manager and team with that information in an effort to be honest and open and figure out a way to get myself treatment and still do my job. One month of subpar work because of medical issues and procedures and they’re trying to fire me.
