absolute-zero999 replied to your post: nsfw requests
So wait you mean you take M rated fic request? LET THE SINNING BEGIN!
Well, technically I’ve always taken non-explicit M rated requests. I’m just more inclined to actually write them now because it’s in line with what I want to practice writing :) Also, nice request; I can work with that.

And there I thought that eileen was more suited as Dom!

jesus christ. i was on the fence with this ship, but thus... okay, this has convinced me. and dom!anna... yes... so much perfection...
There’s a bit more backstory that explains why the dynamic is the way it is, but that’s too heavy for a sexy little drabble :) dom!anna fits perfectly in context, and if I’m not lazy I’ll get around to writing the whole thing out!
How do you think mashima would twist the whole "if I die you die" thing zeref said when he faught natsu for the first time in the arc? Since now zeref is dead
I think Mashima’s currently in the middle of addressing that with Lucy re-writing the Book of END. If I had to guess, I think she’ll tie Natsu’s life to her own.
Or the life of the guild, because “Fairy Tail will never die!” or something lame like that.

Okay but then going by what you said at the end, in regards Gray using the breath attack, meaning that he used a slayer technique, Gray should be able to eat Ice as well because that's also a slayer technique. And the fact that he used demon rage against mard with no prior training means he can use the slayer magic as his own, and eating the element is one of the basic attributes of a slayer, at the very least if he can't eat Ice the Ice attacks shouldn't affect him.
Yeah, that’s the only discrepancy with the theory. Honestly, this is the only possible way to justify why Mashima’s failed to have him use the ice-eating ability and have things still mostly make sense. Enough of it lines up with what we know of dual slayer modes that it’s a solid enough explanation... except for that one detail >.>;; I’d like to believe that Gray’s not a total idiot, given he’s had two fights in this arc where ice-eating would’ve been an extremely useful ability to have (Ur’s Historia and Invel), so I’d... hope there was a reason why he didn’t...?
Of course, there’s a very high chance we’re putting more thought into this than Mashima ever did, in which case it’s a moot point.
Just once, I’d like him to properly explain what he’s doing with the way magic works. He did the same thing with Lucy’s Stardresses, too. I have a loooot of questions about how those are supposed to work. “They’re like Erza’s The Knight” doesn’t quite cover it. Plus, I still have no idea how and when Wendy possessed Eileen, but we’re never getting an answer to that, either.
“I think the Acno twist explain in parts Larcade. Zeref presented him...”
Wait about the point where Gray can't eat ice, Silver was the same thing, he wasn't a slayer (he learned the devil slayer magic) and yet he was able to eat Gray's ice, and I don’t understand what does lighting flame dragon mode has to do with Ice devil slayer, this is a comparison between a certain mode in magic with an entire class of magic (Natsu can't lightning because he is a fire dragon slayer as in lightning is the main element while Gray is a ice devil slayer) in which ice isn’t the main element
That’s the thing - the idea here is that Gray isn’t an Ice Devil Slayer, in the same way that Natsu isn’t a Lightning Dragon Slayer and Sting isn’t a Shadow Dragon Slayer. Silver’s an Ice Devil Slayer because he trained and went through all the prerequisites to become one, so he can eat ice. Gray was given his Ice Devil powers by Silver, similar to the way Natsu got Laxus’ lightning - so, like Natsu, Gray isn’t supposed to be able to eat the element he was given (Natsu can eat lightning, but it’s never been good for him and slayers can eat other elements to begin with; Gray doesn’t have that).
Further supporting the “It’s a mode” theory, like Natsu’s dual element mode (and Sting’s and Gajeel’s), Gray can only use the powers he got from Silver when in a special mode. Gray only uses his Devil Slayer powers when he’s got those black markings on his body and his hair looks stupid, so it’s probably his equivalent to White Shadow Dragon Mode or Lightning Flame Dragon Mode. The fact that Gray was an ice mage to begin with doesn’t really matter - it confuses things, but it’s the same principle. It might be easier to think of Gray’s Slayer mode as not a dual element mode, but a dual magic type mode (less Fire + Lightning and more Maker + Slayer).
It’s not explained in canon like, at all, but it matches up pretty well. Gray hasn’t really used Ice Devil Slayer magic like it’s his own magic anyway - the only spell he’s used that wasn’t his own was Ice Devil Slayer’s Rage; everything else is a powered up version of his own Maker Magic - which is similar to how Natsu can only use lightning to power up spells he could do with just his fire.
The entire design phase is horrible (unlike the previous mass effects)
I don’t really play games but yeah I kind of got that haha. It doesn’t help my brother just finished Horizon Zero Dawn with it’s hyper-realism. So I just keep looking at his avatar either wanting to laugh or cry depending on what its doing.
Holiday @grayzaexchange fic for @absolute-zero999 (Heyyy! Guess who’s your Secret Santa!)
Summary: It’s Christmas, so there’s a lot of gift-giving to be done.
A/N: I did my best to include everything you wanted! But I also left a few things up to the imagination. ;)
Word Count: ~2.4k
I hope you enjoy it! Happy Holidays!
It was about a week or so before Christmas, and Gray and Erza had decided to embark on a mission to earn a bit of extra jewel for any last minute gifts for the holidays. The mission was pretty standard– they were to track and capture members of a bandit gang –and as one would expect, they had found the group of bandits pretty quickly.
“You take the rest!” Gray had shouted upon engaging with the gang of ruffians, slamming a fist into his palm as a smirk curled upon his lips, “I got the leader!”
A smile worked its way onto her lips as well while Erza summoned a sword into her grasp and shot off for the lackeys, “On it!”
The gang members were in no way strong or powerful, and most were dispatched with minimal blows by Erza’s hand. One lucky son of a gun had landed a punch right at her eye, but Erza only shot him a glare before returning the punch at tenfold strength, knocking him out in a single hit. They barely posed a challenge to her.
The leader, however, was on a different level than his lackeys, though he would still prove to be no match for Gray. The only hit the leader could land was a kick square into Gray’s chest, one that didn’t hurt, but did break the necklace that Gray wore. Gray got back at the leader by merely encasing him in a block of ice, deeming him no longer worthy of an actual fight anymore.
Erza worked her way over to Gray after defeating the rest of the gang, placing a hand on his shoulder and shooting him a concerned look, “You alright?” She had asked, taking note of his irritated expression.
“Yeah, I’m fine..” He grumbled, huffing and closing his eyes, “He got my necklace, though.”
Erza’s eyes narrowed out of sympathy, gaze dropping to the ground where she saw the remnants of the necklace, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine. It’s nothing worth cryin’ over, anyway.” Gray shook his head and started to take a few steps away, “Let’s go.”
“Right behind you.” She replied, her lips pursing. Sure that he wasn’t looking, Erza knelt down, gathering all the remnants of the necklace she could manage and tucking them away. She jogged after Gray to catch up with him, locking arms once reaching him as they made their way back home.
A week passed and it was already Christmas morning, and Erza was enjoying the light snowfall while standing about in Magnolia. She was off the main streets, nearing the outskirts of the town, but she had an amazing view of the skies as she waited for a particular someone to arrive. In fact, it took a voice to make her realize that she had been zoning off while staring at the falling snow.
“Erza?” The voice asked playfully, and Erza turned towards the source, recognizing them immediately.
“Jellal!” Erza grinned, wrapping an arm around him for a hug as one of her hands had a present within it, “You made it.”
Jellal returned the smile and hug, chuckling softly, “Of course. It’s a holiday. I wouldn’t miss it.” He held out the gift he had for her to take, “Merry Christmas, Erza.”
Her smile grew soft and warm as she took the gift and passed Jellal the one she had for him as well. “Merry Christmas to you too, Jellal.” Erza moved closer and pressed a gentle kiss to Jellal’s cheek, “That goes for all of the other Crime Sorcière members also.”
“I’ll be sure to pass the message along.” Jellal nodded, resting a gloved hand on her cheek for a brief moment, “Stay safe, Erza. I’ll see you again soon.”
“Until then.” Erza responded, her gaze focused away but a pleasant smile on her lips as Jellal walked off. Their encounters were no longer fated to be for long, but whenever they happened, they always seemed to be enough. Looking down at the wrapped gift she held in her hands, its circular shape basically gave away what was inside, and Erza’s grin only widened as she mused over how she would enjoy this present.
She might invite someone over to enjoy it with her.
Erza saved the strawberry cheesecake she received from Jellal for later on in the day after having Christmas dinner with the guild, and once that was over, she had invited Gray over to share it with her for dessert.
The door closed behind her and she placed a hand around Gray’s back, guiding him towards the couch for him to wait while she went to go get the cheesecake for them to eat. Gray made himself comfortable, quickly shedding his jacket while waiting for Erza to return. She didn’t take very long, so he didn’t lose any other clothes than that. Yet.
“Here we are.~” Erza said, setting the cheesecake on the table and passing Gray a fork and plate.
Gray took it excitedly and leaned forward, staring at the cake with a hungered look in his eye, even though they stuffed themselves with dinner only a little while ago. “I think this is the first time you’ve ever shared this stuff with me… I mean, you normally keep it all for yourself.” He joked, cutting a slice for himself and digging in.
“Well, it is Christmas. I feel generous.” Erza teasingly poked Gray’s nose before eating a forkful of her own slice of cheesecake.
Rolling his eyes, Gray could only shake his head and laugh, “I feel as if I should say ‘thank you,’ but I’m not sure..” He said playfully, which only rewarded himself with Erza elbowing his side, “Alright..alright, thank you.” Gray uttered out between laughs.
Erza only grinned proudly and returned to eating her cheesecake, finishing most of the wheel in a couple minutes with ease and leaving some for Gray, of course. When she finished, she crossed her legs on the couch, facing Gray and waiting for him to finish as well. There was an excited expression on her features, one that he noticed and commented on as soon as he set his plate down.
“You seem like you're about to burst,” Gray jested, turning a bit more to face Erza better, “What is it?”
“I’m sorry,” Erza let out a laugh, a wide smile brimming off her features, “I’m excited to show you your present.”
“I’m sure you are, but I want to give you mine first.” Gray blinked a few times, pressing his lips together, “If you're alright with that, of course.”
Erza just nodded, resting her hands in her lap, “No, go ahead. I can wait just a bit longer, I suppose.”
Gray walked over to his jacket and unearthed something from it– something he had hidden inside it. It was long and narrow, and something that wasn't hard to recognize. He didn't wrap it either, so that only added to its obviousness. Sitting down beside Erza and facing her, he passed over the shining, light sword in both his hands. “I spent a long time perfecting it. It's a sword I made from my ice, and I worked on it long enough so it wouldn't melt or break– not easily, at least.”
Her mouth was slightly agape as she took the sword in hand, upending it to look it over closely. Erza could notice the intricacy on the hilt and handle, and that coupled with the icy blue color of it made it absolutely breathtaking and stunning. That wasn't even mentioning the fact that the blade perfectly matched the weight Erza felt most comfortable wielding. A grateful smile curved her lips and she sent the sword away to join the others within the pocket dimension of her magic, then pulled Gray in for a tight hug, “It’s beautiful, Gray. I love it. Thank you.” She said softly, burying her head in Gray’s neck.
Gray placed a hand on her back, a warm smile on his face as he pulled Erza close. “I’m glad you like it. I worked on it.”
“I bet! All that detail…it's truly stunning. Your magic really is beautiful, you know.” Erza pulled away, still keeping a hand upon his shoulder and a smile on her face.
Ducking his head and rubbing at his neck, Gray could only let out a laugh, “You're gonna make me blush, Erza..”
“Good. Then I’m doing a good job.” Erza simply closed her eyes and let out a content sigh before remembering she had his present yet to give. “Oh! That's right.. It's time for your present..” She leaned back to grab a slender box that rested on a small table beside the couch’s armrest, and she gave it to Gray.
He took off the top, revealing the necklace he had once worn now restored. His eyes widened as he stared at it, and his gaze went up to Erza, “You fixed it?”
She nodded, taking the necklace and clasping it around his neck for him. “Well, I didn't. I went to the blacksmith that fixes my armors and asked him to do it. He can work some real magic, and he was able to fix the main part of it, as well as give it a new chain. We couldn't restore the gem in the middle, however…so we improvised.” Erza pointed at the ruby gemstone in the center of the necklace, “Call it cheesy, but I thought that-” She coughed once, a light warmth rising to her cheek while she found herself tripping over words trying to finish, “-that it would be like carrying a part of me around with you, with the red stone and all…”
Gray didn't say anything to that. Instead, he leaned forward and gingerly took Erza’s face in his hands, bringing their lips together in a kiss. Erza was quick to return it, closing her eyes and resting a hand at the base of his neck. Gray was in no way quick to break it, and when he did, he only moved away far enough for him to be able to whisper a quiet, “Thank you.”
Erza simply nodded, letting another smile grace her lips as she rested her forehead against his, “Anything for you.”
“The necklace…It was one of the last things that my parents got for me before they died. Having it back now…and having a part of you be with it…I wouldn't have it any other way. You're part of my family now, Erza, and now I have something to remember it by.” Gray admitted heavily, thumbs absentmindedly tracing over Erza’s cheeks.
“You're part of my family too, Gray. I can't be happier with it either.” Her gaze flickered down to his necklace again, “You always did look good with it.”
“I bet it looks even better now, huh?” Gray laughed, pulling his hands away and exhaling a heavy breath. “Thank you again, Erza. Truly.”
“Of course. I only want to see the man I love be happy, after all.” She nudged at his shoulder playfully.
“And I love you too.” Gray returned, a small smile forming on his lips.
They spent most of the time after that talking about just about anything, and they would've kept going if Gray hadn't caught notice of the clock saying that it was one o’clock in the morning. The fact that there was a bit of a pause in the conversation at that point only made him believe further that it was about time for him to go.
“It's getting pretty late…” Gray said, easing into the subject.
“Is it?” Erza asked, head turning toward the clock, “Huh…time got away from us, didn't it?” She said with a jocular air, scratching at her cheek.
“It kinda did, yeah.” Gray had to admit, grinning a bit sheepishly, “I think I should call it a night and head home.”
Erza nodded in understanding, standing up from the couch and offering Gray a hand, “I’ll show you out.”
Gray took the hand and hoisted himself to his feet, walking over to the door where he would pull Erza into a hug goodbye. “Good night, Erza. I had a great time tonight. I can't thank you enough for fixing my necklace.”
Erza squeezed him in return, patting his back a few times before pulling away, “And thank you for that stunning sword. I had a wonderful time as well.” She opened the door for him, stepping aside so he could make his way out, “Careful in the snow.” Erza added with a hint of a laugh.
“Oh, I will be-” Just as he was about to leave, his eyes caught sight of the mistletoe hanging on the doorway, and he stopped mid-step, turning toward Erza while pointing at it, “Ha, has this always been here?”
Erza furrowed her brow at him, glancing back and forth between him and the mistletoe, “…Yeah…I sort of forgot I put it up.” She said, wincing slightly at realizing it slipped her mind.
“You know the rules…” Gray began with a tease, stepping closer and settling his hands around Erza’s waist.
She let out a low laugh and shook her head, wrapping her arms around his neck, “That I do…”
Their lips met in another embrace, one that hurriedly became both deep and heated, and one that only broke momentarily so that they could regain their breath before returning in a feverish hunger for more. It wasn't long before Gray moved to leave a trail of kisses working its way up Erza’s jawline, and from there Erza just glanced upward, chest rising and falling as an eyebrow of her rose.
“You know…” She began, breath hitching from the intoxication sensation coursing through her when Gray focused on her neck, “No one said that you had to go home…” Her head turned toward him slightly so Erza could peer at Gray from the corner of her eye.
Gray pulled away, gaze rising to look Erza in the eye before a sly grin flashed on his lips and he grabbed her wrist, pulling her away from the doorframe.
Erza caught her lower lip in between her teeth and let out a snicker, closing the door behind her.
It was a Merry Christmas for all, and boy, did they have a good night.
