星に願いを 'WISH UPON A STAR' Gouache This is a wannabe pink monochromatic practice painting that ended up taking a turn for actually the better. Hahahaha The painting process went something along the lines of, 'oh shit, this is amazing!!....Omg am I blind??? This is horrible!....woah, why am I so kickass....fuck this, I should quit painting now, to- you know what, this isnt actually that bad!' Lol does anyone else struggle with this! Gah! Its emotionally draining! it's still not how I want it but sometimes the best thing a person should do is to just put the brush down and move on and that's exactly what we are doing here. WIP Still lots to go with this babe. Fixes in the eyes are needed and many layers still needed in her hair. This piece has been a battle. I've been so irritated with every bit of it. Not giving up. CONSCIOUS BEGINNINGS It's amazing how most of the beginning of this year I had hit a major burnout. One that left me struggling to produce anything. I was battling health issues and being unproductive felt almost as if it was end to barely a beginning. But then at the same time, towards the mid/end of 2018 I have made the most solid works out of the whole year. Exploring a new medium and achieving areas I didnt exactly have planned for this year but it happened anyway, things freaking changed for the better. Especially in a time I almost gave up. I just want to tell you, that things can turn around so fast. When it feels like you cant push through anymore, and all looks impossible, you'll be surprised what a few months could do. Things might just fall into place. Maybe not as perfectly as envisioned but still. Whenever I get in a gross rut, I try to tell myself that this is the universe preparing somethig amazing for me. But in order to truly appreciate these gifts, I must endure hardship. I want to try and remind myself this, going into 2019. The moments I hit my lows and feel like shit and it feels as if nothing good can happen. I want to push positive thoughts that time heals all and blossoms beautiful opportunities. You just have to wait through that rain. I'm hoping for big things to happen in 2019. And I'm going to work my ass off for them. In case you haven't heard, there's this new pillow that's surfaced from Japan. It's called the sexy radish pillow. Comes in two sizes, both to guarantee a satisfying cuddle buddy for those lonely nights. I want one. Since I cant have one, I gifted one of my babes the ability to have one.
