weird benefit of moving to a small community but when you’re changing the utilities to your name and they’re like “oh please just bring a copy of your rental agreement” and you’re like uh so we only have the verbal agreement that i pay money and don’t trash the place and then they let me live there and keep the house up because it’s their parents’ house and they’re sentimental 

and then they’re like “ohhh you’re living with *landlord’s last name*? just come by your ID and you’ll be good. no paperwork required we know they don’t like to do that”
