The last person to hear it from louis, telling lestat who has always had louis' love for their immortal life but needed to Know it. Sitting shoulder by shoulder looking at the white light, a kinder world. It makes you think that if things would have been different paul and lestat could one day have gotten along quiet well. They share a similar relationship with religion, and a kind of sentimentality; the birds talking to paul and lestat's dream of transcribing birdsong in the woods! And of course this isn't even GOING INTO "i still wish you were a woman though" "me too, sometimes" WHAT
