Yo, abstract data tho... and because i'm a sucker for angst, what if the three started dating about 9 months ago and yet the last backup Ryan has is from almost a year before he died??

i think ryan would be be better than that about keeping his backups up to date, but i can always make exceptions for angst

but i think it would break geoff and jack a little. they lost their lover, and even when it turns out that they hadn’t, they lost their entire relationship with him. i think that the two of them would retreat into each other because no matter how much they want to include ryan again, it hurts to think about. i think ryan would be so confused, because he’s lost a year and jack and geoff are acting like they don’t know him -- he thinks that something must have happened in the last year, that it must have been his fault to make them act like this. i think eventually ryan would ask and jack would haltingly explain that they had been together, and now ryan doesn’t remember any of it and he doesn’t even have a body anymore so that jack can show him how much she loves him. i think that they try to make it work but it’s even harder than it would have been because they’re starting from scratch and that’s hard when geoff and jack are dealing with long-running deja vu and they can’t even hug ryan. i think that when ryan eventually gets his robot body they’re even more excited to touch him because they may have been waiting but it’s the first time for ryan and he’s just overwhelmed by their touch.
