Malibu Ken (Aesop Rock & TOBACCO) - Malibu Ken

Malibu Ken is such a fun project. I’m so glad that Aesop Rock got together with this random producer who makes these really fucking fun almost retro video game esc sounding production with all these awesome synths and 8-bit ass Melodie’s. On top of it Aesop Rock who’s got one of the most iconic or recognizable flows in hip hop found a way to just perfectly ride what is a very mellow but still sharp set of beats. Luckily his highly enunciative style of delivery just works perfectly with this style. The whole thing just feels like this perfectly relaxed and funny album that sucks you into this strange world of Malibu Ken. Perfect album to smoke to.
