It’s late, sometime around 2 in the morning, and you, Gunner, Amari, and Xavier are all parked in the parking lot of a Taco Bell. Amaris driving, Xavier’s in the passenger seat, and you and Gunner are sitting in the back.
There really wasn’t a plan, just to all get together and smoke a little weed, even though that’s how basically all of your hangouts with Gunners friends go. There’s a soft hum of music playing in the speakers but you guys are more just chit chatting as Gunner finishes rolling the first blunt. You lean closer to him and he places the blunt in between your lips before lighting it up, he always makes sure you get the first hit every time he rolls up.
You take a deep hit, feeling the weed burn its way down your throat before exhaling with a little cough at the end. Gunner takes a hit before passing it up to the front seat. “So, Gunner when’s the next album finna drop?” Amari starts, making Gunner roll his eyes. “Never if you keep asking” he teases. “You should put me in your next music video” you mention before taking the blunt back from Xavier and inhaling deeply again. “Of course I will ma” he states like it’s obvious.
“Yeah, ma” Xavier teases, turning back to face you guys. “Shut up Xavier” you laugh, rolling your eyes at his behavior. “Yeah Xavier shut up” Amari jokes along with him. “You guys are assholes” you giggle. Of course you don’t mean it. Xavier and Amari are your favorite friends of Gunners, you’ve never been able to find anything the other ones say interesting but Xav and Amari always manage to get a good laugh out of you.
2 hits of the blunt later and Xavier’s rolling another one, you’re starting to feel the weed but you don’t say anything. Your tolerance is significantly lower than theirs considering they smoke way more often than you do. You’ve moved your position so your back is against the car door and your feet are resting on Gunners legs. The music is more turned up more and everyone’s kinda in their own worlds.
“Guys I’m hungryyy” you whine, breaking the silence. “Wanna go inside and get sum food?” Gunner suggests, reminding you that you’re in a Taco Bell parking lot. Before you even respond you’re out the car door without thinking. “You guys want anything?” Gunner asks Xav and Amari but they shake their heads and give a little “mm-mm” so the two of you head inside.
Your eyes don’t react well under the bright lights inside the building, drawing more attention to how red they are. Gunner looks at you and laughs “all that over 4 hits?” He jokes, making you laugh because of course everything’s funny right now. You both order your food, earning a couple weird glances from the worker, maybe she recognizes you two or it’s just the fact she can tell you’re high out of your mind but it doesn’t matter because in the end you get your Taco Bell.
The two of you get back out to the car and you immediately start devouring your food. Gunner laughs at how fast you work through it as if you haven’t eaten in years. He eats his food and the guys continue passing their blunt around, completely hotboxing the car. You take a big chug of your Baja blast before moving closer to Gunner. “Come on ma we’re home” he says with a laugh. You unbuckle your seatbelt and slowly move out of the car, waving as Amari pulls out of the parking lot of your apartment complex. You and Gunner head back up to your shared apartment and immediately fall asleep on the bed with his arms around you.

Gunner had what he called a “minor inconvenience” that escalated into you giving him a full blown lecture.
Or… maybe just an hour long session of him sitting on the edge of the bed with a crooked smile as you pace back and forth around the room, giving away how much he enjoyed the way you yelled at him. Your mind spins while your hands emphasized the frustration erupting, throwing them around while you scold him.
You tried to get it through his incredibly immature brain how his stupid decisions can have stupid consequences. He almost got into a fight tonight after his show, the wannabe thugs waiting outside for him in front of his party bus. They flashed and threatened him with their guns for whatever reason, easily outnumbering Nett.
Of course Gunner being Gunner, he stupidly entertained it, provoking the idiots by keeping his hand hidden in his waistband. It was an obviously move to scare them, ready to pull his glock he always kept on him if they really wanted to play that game.
If it weren’t for his bodyguards who just barely stepped in on time, it would’ve gotten messy real quick.
When he arrived home and told you what happened, following the story up with a, “I had it under control though, you don’t gotta worry.” You went livid.
“Do you understand you could’ve gotten seriously injured?! Or worse—killed!!” You chewed out, speeding across the room.
Gunner sighed, “Ma’…” He called out, but you were far too deep into nagging him about his actions to even hear him.
“Seriously Gunner?! Who in their right mind would do something like th-”
“Y/N!” He snapped, letting out a tired laugh when he finally got your attention—It surprised him how much this whole thing bothered you. Gunner grabs a hold of your wrist to stop your relentless movement and tugs you into the space between his legs.
“I handled it, no?” He said with a smirk, his hands flowing down your body and to your hips, holding them firmly. “You don’t got shit to stress about princess.” He said, his tone lowering, eyes focused only on your lips.
You pout stubbornly, you hated how careless he was—making you worried all the time. You collapse your head onto his shoulder, it was exhausting keeping up with him…like taking care of a badass fucking kid.
“Just relax yeah…?” He whispered into your ear before placing a gentle kiss to it. One of his large cold hands trailing up your shirt, making you shiver.
“It’s hard to relax when you make me worried sick Gun…” You mumble with a smile, holding back a moan as his hands traveled higher and higher.
“I know… m’sorry baby.” He kisses your neck, leaving a few marks in the process. You sigh, eyes fluttering shut as your body effortlessly melts under him, causing you to forget why you were even mad at him in the first place.
“Fuck, you’re so hot when you’re mad though…” He says against your skin, you could practically hear the cheeky grin on his face.
You slap his bicep playfully “Not funny…” you mumble, but the big smile tugging at your lips easily betrays your words.
You swear he’s gonna be the death of you.
