Post-Generation
We’re part of the generation sitting for
a picnic on a tall and more or less denuded hill.
Our portrait exists beyond a poem
which would structurally preclude the weird
immediacy with which we can touch its feet.
We without the benefit of generation
rebel by asserting our-
selves as unironic;
Without casus belli
my friends and I stop
at saying
this is poetry in post structuralist
form, limits in place of definitions,
with post post modern diction, simple
banality, and for the responsibility of saying
after you have unsaid
