Hi buggies!!

First of all, my apologies for being kinda MIA recently. I’ve decided to take a brief ~official~ (since I’ve technically been doing it anyway) hiatus from Tumblr. I’m planning to come back eventually with hopefully some more original content, but before I go I’ll be queuing up a bunch of posts so things aren’t totally dead around here in the meantime.

Also I just want to say that I just realized this blog has reached almost 100 followers. Which doesn’t seem like a lot, but considering that back when I started this blog in 2017 there was a good period of time where there were two of you, it feels like a lot to me. And I appreciate each and every one of you circus clowns for finding your way here and sticking around.

Discussion Time

HI FELLOW A BUGS LIFE LOVING WEIRDOES

I have a serious question for you:

What are your thoughts on a sequel?

I’m conflicted. As much as I adore this movie, I think it works too well as a standalone. I haven’t been overly impressed by any of the Pixar sequels (with the exceptions of Toy Stories 2 and 3). They wouldn’t be able to get the entire original voice cast together (RIP Joe Ranft, Phyllis Diller, Jonathan Harris, and anyone else I’m missing <3) The ones they ~could~ get are two decades older than they were in ‘98, so it would have to be set pretty far into the future, unless they just replace them like they did with Nemo and Dash. (Listen though if anyone tries to replace baby Hayden Panettiere as Dot I will lose my actual MARBLES 😤😤) And honestly, there’s nothing in the original movie that really necessitates a follow-up.

idk i’m just so protective of this movie and as sad as i am that it’s underrated, it also feels more and more like disney/pixar is becoming a money-grabbing machine and will pump out Literal Garbage***** if they know people will buy it and i just don’t want to see that happen to my Favorite Movie Of All Time 🥺

If anything, I would love to see them update the animation and re-release it in theaters because you know us 90′s babes would eat that up, OR produce some quality shorts about the characters (Hopper’s backstory, Flik and Atta’s friendship as kids, found family moments between the circus bugs, (@ladies-and-gentlebugs​ we know ur all bout that ish, etc etc.) and maybe release them on Disney+ or before the next big Pixar release.

Tara felt tears run down her cheeks as she looked at hopper. Since the day that they hadmeant, he's become an important person in her life. So after the words slip from his mouthher hands move in determination to keep himalive. Tara wasn't going to lose him. Not yet. "I need you to stay with me, Hopper. Who elseis going to protect me?"

Easing into the warm water, the redhead let out a sigh of relief. Bubbles, candles, soft music in the background. No work, no stress, nothing could ruin this moment. 

Just her locked in her bathroom.... relaxing. That was until the bang of the door hitting the wall made her jump. The cold air hitting damp skin reminded her of her state of undress and Braelyn scrambled to get back under the bubbles. 

"Haven't you heard of knocking?!" She snapped before her mind could process who had entered.

 worst rp experience ever: I've only been rping for a year and a half now so i haven't had a lot of bad experiences. Worst is usually my fault when non of my muses will talk to me.

 most overused FC: Only have one, maybe two fc's that i've used.  
 worst character you’ve ever played: Again only have three muses, and none of them are bad at least in my opinion. I have thought up some characters in the past that never made it to rping that make me shudder though. 
 favourite type of plot: So far simply first introductions, it's a lot of fun to see how different they can be. 
 at what time of day is your writing the best?: Usually afternoon to evening. Brain dead in the morning.  
 are you anything like your muse?: A bit. We both loooooooove musicals, coffee, and ACDC 
 worst thing about RP (in general or on Tumblr): ASKS GETTING EATEN!!! Especially on my bookbuyerreader blog. I never know if the person simply didn't get it or hasn't replied.  
 To end on a good note — best thing about RP?: Definitely meeting new people and getting to try out amazing stories with their characters. I love chatting with the muns.
