RED and Abuse don’t have much in common besides “gnarly-looking monsters”...
* Paco, before and after his last encounter with Joshua. It feels like every time I draw Paco’s armour, I have to re-figure it out...
* Nick Vrenna, the protagonist of Abuse, without his helmet (for face-idea reasons, and also to show that he’s not an incarnation of the Eternal Hero). Inmortalitas-wise, he was an activist who was falsely imprisoned.
So Abuse by Crack Dot Com isn’t a proper Bungie game despite its inclusion in the Action Sack (they published the Mac port), but that hasn’t stopped me from wondering how I could work it into Inmortalitas’s timeline.
Basically, it’d involve moving the given year from the second version’s story much farther in the future from 2009, to roughly coincide with some other ethically-null experiments being carried out at Icarus and Thermopylae. The suit that protagonist Nick Vrenna dons to escape the mutant-infested prison might have been one of the last pre-battleroid ventures into super soldier territory.
