compliance-training kids to say things like “i love you” when you want them to is fucking evil and i’m going to punch the entire concept of parents and also the entire concept of therapists
sure is awesome when scars that haven’t bothered you for years just spontaneously start hurting for no reason :/
abused kid google searches: how to help your own kid develop a healthy relationship with her emotions when people tried to behavior-mod you out of having feelings
.
every time i go to make a personal post about just something happening in my life (or a fandom post or even sometimes just go to put tags on something I reblog) it's like i just hear this voice in my head saying "no one cares and you're bothering and burdening people by taking up space on their dashes with shit they don't care about and that makes you a horrible person" and what i'm getting at here is i hope all my childhood therapists are having an absolutely miserable day
that thing abusers do where they act like the shittiest behavior is totally normal stuff that any reasonable person would do 🙃
Anyway, I was abused as a child by my parents and I am actively infuriated and disgusted by pervasiveness of "child forgives shitty parent who abused them and hurt them irreparably and allows said shitty parent back into their life unconditionally" narratives in media and you have a problem with me or anyone else feeling this way, kindly fuck off.
Why do people who had good parents get so offended by the idea that some people didn't have that and some parents are abusive pieces of shit?
