@warrior-wraith Savannah ran. Fast and hard her arm was probably broken but the fear of going back, of what was probably chasing, kept her going on. Farther and farther away from her house. Her eye was slowly becoming swollen shut. She went for what felt like hours. She'd slow to a walk only to start running again at the slightest noise behind her. The green fields around her slowly turned into a forest and she kept going. Farther and farther away. Till she fell down exhausted.

Today was the 5th anniversary. Savannah hated today. Her father was always worse. He blamed her and maybe it was her fault. Her fault that her mom died in that carriage accident . But she couldn’t remember it, she had only been 3. But this wasn’t going to happen again. This year he had fallen asleep before she passed out. She only had a broken arm and a black eye. She had small cuts from his ring but it was better than last year. And this year she could still walk. She quietly gathered up some food and all the cash in his pockets. She grabbed her shoes and a jacket and left the house.

Then she ran. Faster and faster. She had to keep going. If He found out that she had left… She shivered at the thought. She kept running . Her legs started burning and her head was becoming light. Her vision got thinner and thinner but she kept running till she passed out.
