6: Eating habits and sample daily menu.

In the present day Leslie basically just ate anything she could afford, so she and her brother had a lot of frozen meals, sandwiches, cereal, oatmeal, that sort of thing. She usually forgot breakfast before school, but made sure to pack herself lunch because she didn't want to deal with cafeteria prices and food.

When she's in the past though, Leslie essentially just eats whatever her traveling companions have. She's used to waking up in the morning to Darval cooking some stew over the fire pit, stopping at midday to eat a quick meal of bread, jerky, and other travel food, and either having tavern food for dinner or stew/roast game, whatever the trio can find.

8: Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging.

In the present day Leslie honestly just really loved playing D&D with her brother and her friend Connor; she loved DMing for them and whenever the three had a free evening she would insist they play.

In the past, her new pastime is reading. She feels a bit guilty, as she knows she could be learning more about combat or helping out her friends Delvon and Darval with their daily routine, but books are a helpful form of escapism for her. It helps her forget her fucked up situation and lets her pretend she's still back at home, just reading some old texts she found at the library.

13: Sexual orientation? And, regardless of own orientation, thoughts on sexual orientation in general?

She knows she's not straight, but it takes her till she's about 21 till she finally realizes "oh shit I'm bi". And so long as you're not an asshole, she doesn't care about sexualities. "Good for you bud, glad you know yourself" is basically her general feeling.

20: Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them?

Leslie's not really had much in the way of illnesses, aside from the occasional cold and flu; she's more prone to accidentally injuring herself than anything else. Mental illnesses yeah, she For Sure ain't neurotypical but she's never had a diagnosis, but other than that she's got a pretty sturdy immune system.

24: Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all?

Leslie is technically considered a gifted kid, although she really doesn't want that target on her back. She's always been really diligent in any studies about magic, be it magical history, practical usage, or literally any extracurricular. She's pretty much the fantasy equivalent of a STEM major, aka a Fucking Nerd. Her grades were good enough to qualify her for a scholarship to a well-known boarding school meant for again, essentially the magical version of STEM students. Of course, poor kid in a rich kid school Ended Badly but that's a whole other story <3

Suffice it to say Leslie is a smart bastard to compensate for her lackluster home life <3

RED is a story of a lake side town where a terrifying urban legend has spread of a figure known only as RED. RED is the story of a boy who died mysteriously, and returned from the dead searching for his killers. its said that if you meet him at night, he will stay silent and raise his knife, if you run, he will stalk and kill you. if you stay, he will stab you. its said the only means of escape is to compliment him, especially his bright red heels. the main story follows Javier, Takaki, and Saki.

Javi is a local college student really into the occult. hes a member of the colleges small occult and horror research society and has a lasting interest in RED.

Saki is RED.

Saki died in the summer of 1950, disappearing on his way home one day. the police and family searched everywhere but there was no sign of him. he was found a week later floating in a canal a little ways out of town. he was covered head to toe in cuts and it was unclear what killed him. his brother older Takaki was confused and scared, and that night, before an examination could be done, Saki’s body disappeared from police custody. he appeared a the next night, standing outside looking up into Takaki’s window in the rain, a clay mask obscuring his face, terrifying Takaki. he appears like this multiple times, doing nothing but standing outside and staring. Takaki was convinced they were just nightmares, until one night he awoke to Saki drenched from the rain standing at the end of his bed. Takaki was horrified and hid under the covers till morning. he assumed this too was a dream until he found Saki’s soaked footprints in the carpet of his room.

he tried to tell his parents about his brother, enraging them for disrespecting Saki’s memory, not believing him that his brother had come back.

Saki stalked his brother this way all the way into adulthood, seemingly growing up with Takaki despite being a ghost, and eventually rumors started to spread of a strange man in red appearing in the streets at night. when people were found dead with no leads to follow, people began to attribute them to the man in red, eventually earning the simple name RED.

Saki is an onryo, a vengeful spirit attached to his brother and following him everywhere. unlike a typical ghost Saki has a physical body, but can only be seen when he wants to be seen, stalking the streets at night killing anyone he catches committing an act of cruelty. Saki’s memories and thoughts are a jumbled cloud, not really registering the world around him and mostly retreated into his mind. his view of good and bad is very black and white.

Takaki, after his parents died inherited their family business, an antique camera shop on the water front, leaving his childhood home and living in the small apartment above the shop, come to terms with his brothers spirit following him, eventually setting up a crude “room” for him in the basement. Saki will stay down there, unmoving. Takaki will leave meals for him at the top of the stairs and come back to the meals gone, so assumes Saki can still eat, but really hes unsure just what Saki can and cant do. he will sometimes disappear for days leaving no trace, but always comes back. Takaki is now 80 years old, Saki appearing as a young man.

Javi meets RED one night after getting into a fight outside a night club, two men beating him mercilessly as Saki watched, enraging him with their cruelty. he kills the two men, terrifying Javi until he passed out. Saki dragging him back “home” to let him recover. when he wakes up hes greeted by Takaki who tells him the true story of RED, and revealing Saki to him, for the first time someone believing him about his brother, and Javi deduces that Saki is still here because his murder was never solved, and that to help him move on they must uncover what happened to him all those years ago.
