Maybe there was a bit of a picnic. Hidden mostly out of sight beside a tree. Something that came second, later in his head. A head upside down even as it’s confusedly greeted.

“Hey, what’s that face for? It helps me think, more blood to the right places.” Maybe not exactly for that reason exactly but suspending himself with the strange change of weight did help the broker focus and grasp for calm. Abel being there as a conversationalist was also a plus.

Eyes glance around at the chaos he'd narrowly missed - be it by a day or two, craters in the concrete being his arch-enemy today. It looked like meteors hit the earth, but he didn't recall any sort of story in the news of a meteor shower. Clambering out of the hole like a newborn deer, pushing himself out and brushing his hands off on his pants leg -- he glanced to the stranger for a moment.

"Ah... I suppose so." He hesitantly looked behind him at the crater, then the man himself. "...I'm sorry, I was visiting while I was traveling, so I ... I didn't think it'd be bad to walk around here alone." So, he'd wandered into a bad part of town. Clearly. “Maybe I should’ve asked him to tag along, then... I’m sorry.”

A small note floated in front of the broker, outlined in red. It bore a brief message—‘Follow me.’ Were Mikuni to reach for it, it would dance away, ultimately leading him to his queen. “Happy birthday, my King.” Eyes sparkling, Chuuya hovered up to give his fiancé a kiss, bare hands cupping Mikuni’s face. Behind him, a string of golden lights hovered, also ringed in red, spelling out ‘Happy Birthday’. A homemade, elegant cake waited nearby, along with cups of freshly poured milk tea for both.

Reach for it he did, chuckling softly when the note stayed just out of his grasp. It could only be one possibility and the prospect of it made his heart warm. The broker paused a moment, letting the note settle again before smiling at it.

“Alright, lead the way.”

It was impressive as always the level of control his love had over his ability. Yet that thought quickly vanished when the man came into view. Beautiful as always Mikuni was taken aback at the shimmering sight that surrounded him.

So within that wonderful kiss he melted, utterly captured by the one that brought him to this spot. He let the glow overtake him, matching it with his own soft gold to join his fiance in the air. No other purpose but the entwine in the weightlessness that their hearts already felt. With a little smirk Mikuni reached out a hand, pulling their bodies close.
