#ac problems

PLEASE HELP

I’ve already asked about this on Reddit, but I thought I’d post about it here too just in case anyone could help me. I have an Airo Comfort portable A/C unit in my room. A couple months ago, it read the E2 code, which means the water tank is full while cooling. I didn’t think much of it, after all, it gets pretty hot where I live and it’s VERY humid so I asked my dad to help me empty it out. Only problem is, when we went to empty it, absolutely no water came out, except maybe the tiniest dribble you’ve ever seen. We tried emptying from both ends, but still, nothing. I cleaned the filter and unscrewed the bottom one as well to see if under there needed cleaning. It had a bunch of dust but it’s not an accessible place to clean easily. I sat in the floor for a good bit trying my hardest to get all the dust out. Afterwards, it was still reading E2. I thought maybe it was just faulty reading and tried resetting the ac unit a couple times before just giving up. It was around winter time so obviously the unit wasn’t needed so I unplugged it, hoping it would just need to sit a bit to reset. Today, our temperatures are reaching back up into the 70s/80s so I thought I’d test the ac to see if it would work. It’s still reading E2. I left it on for a bit cause the air was still coming out nicely but then after about 5 minutes it cut off and was no longer blowing out any air so I cut it off. I really don’t want to have to replace this one already, it’s only about 2 years old, and it’s probably the 4th ac I’ve had to get. All my ac’s keep dying after a bit of use and I have NO CLUE why. I keep them cleaned, they don’t sit on for an excessive amount, mostly just at night cause it’s too hot to sleep without. It wouldn’t be that bad if I were the one to pay for it I guess, but I’m not, my parents are and I really hate to ask them, considering we’ve had to do this song and dance multiple times over the years. If any of you know what could possibly be the problem, I’d be incredibly grateful!!!! If not, I’ll just have to suck it up and ask and repay them when I can finally get a job, I just hate having to ask them.

I don’t know if maybe they just sent me a faulty one or if I’m somehow doing something to mess it up. I just feel like I’m at my wits end with this.

TLDR: my need for cold via my ac might have caused me to lose my hearing for a bit, but I have an idea on what to do if I’m right on what’s causing this

So I’m a creature of cold

This has caused a predicament (I think)

You see I recently got a new ac, haven’t had one for a while, to allow me to make my room as cold as I want.

And in my excitement I made sure to face it towards me, my rooms tiny so the head of my bed is literally right under the ac unit, to keep me as cool as I want.

I got this ac last Friday

And last Sunday I started to have hearing problems in my left ear

And after trying multiple things I’ve noticed that my inner ear feels like it might be swollen

Which led me on a googling rabbit hole

And then I thought:

“It’s kinda weird that this happens so suddenly and so soon after I get my ac, wonder if there’s a connection”

And boy oh boy it seems there might be

You see it appears that having an ac blow DIRECTLY on your head can actually be bad for your health and cause a lot of things

INCLUDING SWELLING IN THE INNER EAR!!!!

And then I remembered how I usually sleep on my right side, you know the way that has ur left ear higher than the other, which would put it more directly in the line of the ac

And I’ve also noticed my right ear starting to slowly be affected, after I decided for a night to not sleep on my right side at all, putting this ear more in contact with the ac

Which means if my hypothesis is correct my ac is to blame for my hearing loss

Which sucks cause I NEEED my room to be cool to sleep and I can’t really move my bed cause it only fits in this one spot (like I said my rooms tiny)

So I’m going to try something else

I’ve angled the ac vents as far away from my head as possible, but this caused me to be to warm so the fans on low to circulate the cold air, and Im going to try and treat the swelling with ibuprofen and using a heating pad tomorrow

If I’m right and if the vents are moved enough then I should recover from the swelling soon and get my hearing back

If not then I’ll have to try and switch which side of the bed I sleep at

And if not that then I have 0 clue cause I need the ac to keep cool cause our houses built in air conditioning doesn’t work and it gets HOOOT here pretty quickly

So wish me luck cause I really hope this works, we can’t afford for the problem to be more serious

Yesterday, I was supposed to finish that illustration and ended up passed out on the floor infront of my fan. Our AC was struggling yesterday and even stripping down to little a nothing and just hogging a fan didn't do much. Still find it funny cause I woke up sprawled on my back and just stared at the ceiling wondering when I laid down <I didn't, I just blacked out>.

Soooo, gonna be camping in the living room to draw since it is the coolest spot in the house.

I don't know if anyone else does this but it started when I played new leaf and I was sad that villagers noticed when you don't play. I literally have to play every day in Animal Crossing. Not like actually play everyday because for me that's impossible, but let's say I forget to play for a week. I have to time travel back 7 days so I get to experience every single in-game day.

Anyway I'm only now on October 31st, so Happy Halloween to me!

Sleeping under ur AC is like either the best or the worst.

Well the bad side about it (in my personal experience) is that I CANNOT BREATH EVERY SINGLE TIME. I'M BREATHING AC AIR AND IT HURTS FOR SOME REASON AND I CANNOT BREATH ACTUAL AIR. Even worst if ur sick and ur nose gets clogged up and I just straight up choke.

Well the good side is that at least wake up cold.
