…shit, what can he buy at a library? Didn’t people just… borrow books there? Kyle stared at his list of stores and was stuck for a moment. He was at the 10th location… he can’t give up now… Uughhh….
“Sir, excuse me…” He says quietly, aware libraries called for that certain protocol. In a very serious yet noticeably tired voice, he asks, “What can I buy that can help make me more appealing for my darling future-husband, the Kappa himself? I REALLY need it…”
Cyan stared down at the redhead before him, expression indifferent and unchanging as he made his request. He wasn’t sure this mortal understood how libraries worked, coming in and asking to buy something. While there were a few options where books could be bought, most options were simply borrowing. He would not get to keep the book.
How would something from a library make the mortal more appealing to a kappa anyway? In his experience, though 600 years rusty, kappa did not find humans and the like appealing in the first place.
“When is the next intended meeting between you and this kappa?” Cyan was thinking, perhaps, he could tell the redhead to get his face painted upstairs. If he looked less like a human, he was fairly certain a kappa would mind his presence less. Though the paint would easily wash off in the water the creatures were so fond of. Perhaps just bringing up the library’s 3 Month Deal would be best.
