Yesterday was acadeca reigionals, and I'm going to state! I finished my COSMOS application, and got a jump on my lit essay.

There was a snow day today, so I tidied my room and worked on memorizing my speech for acadeca. Here's my future log

I have been so busy! Objective testing for academic decathlon was last weekend, the speech and interview dress rehearsal is tomorrow, and the final events are on saturday!

well it's good to hear everything turned out alright! :) we're going to states as well, and we were surprised even though we did pretty well on super quiz. i got silver in lit and gold in music which was a pretty great feeling. any tips for speech? u seem like the perfect person to ask :^)

Congrats on the gold, silver, and state! I honestly don't know how I got gold, I thought i was gonna get a bad score for speech tbh, but one of the things that I really worked on was body language. I'm a really anxious person, and in such close proximity with the judges, they can definitely tell. My hands and legs will shake, so I worked on not pacing, only occasionally shifting my weight from hip to hip, and also making my hand gestures really intentional. I was even more surprised, because one of my friends who is a senior GOD at speeches, had the same judges, and he didn't medal, and I used HIS tips, so I'm really not sure how I did so well.
