Hey guys! Currently reviewing some topics from gen chem in preparation for biochem!! I’m so nervous tbh haha. Also, caved in and bought an iPad for the semester and ngl I wish I would’ve gotten one sooner. How are you guys preparing for the new semester??
I am in the lab sipping test tube substances and critiquing them like fine wine
I wish everyone would admit that classic literature is inherently difficult to read, and that you shouldn’t feel stupid if you don’t “get it”. Especially the dark academia/ classic lit fandoms and stuff. Like unless you have the vocabulary and pop culture knowledge of an 18th century nobleman, it’s going to be a tough read. It’ll take you longer to read; you’re not stupid if you’ve spent several months on a single book! And you don’t have to enjoy everything. It’s okay if you got bored after one chapter of Wuthering Heights, and couldn’t be bothered to read the rest. It’s okay if you want to read your favourite kids book for the 10th time instead. You’re not stupid. No piece of literature is inherently better, more “important”, more “meaningful”, or more “intellectual” than another. First and foremost, read what brings you joy.

I always feel that I’m never gonna be ready for the fair. It’s slowly creeping up on me like it always does and feel completely unready. But it’s ok, i’ll just wing it like i do every year.
I’m using an ipad stand to hold up my textbook, but it works so 🤷🏻♀️

20th July - Are you a ‘summer person’?
no. absolutely not. i cannot emphasise enough how little of a summer person i am. summer is the worst.
on a similar note, i am DYING in this heat. i took my dogs out for a walk last night and it was literally 9:30 but it was still way to hot to walk and we all gave up after 10 minutes. i cannot take it but thankfully i think it’s going to start raining this weekend and it cannot come soon enough.
