I WANT THE K
✕ i want the k—11; collarbone kiss.( not accepting ).
she’d long since stopped crying, her soft sobs subsiding the moment his lips pressed onto hers with a nayeon softness she almost couldn’t register. it wasn’t a surprise things escalated the way they did, his hands so gentle but wild, running over her and holding her as if she were a priceless artifact. can still feel the soft chafe of dried tears on her cheeks, tracks faint against skin so pale but bursting with heat. everything is warm, hot— his arms wrapped so securely around her frail form as if he was scared she’d disappear right from under his fingertips.
in truth, she feared the opposite.
it was all too good to be true, him being here, with her like this, body pressed against hers and lips to her forehead as a reassurance that he was being truthful. he loved her. there was no need for him to say it out loud, not when his eyes bled more emotion than he’d ever shown in front of her before. she still couldn’t believe it, and deep down, as part of her almost didn’t want to believe it ( not when this was too good, too much of a miracle for her to think it was real ). never had she thought, despite how much she wished, that he’d feel something for her other than friendship.
her fingers dance gently over the skin of his shoulder, head tucked securely under his chin, and she nuzzles closer than before. it’s almost too addicting, his scent flooding her system, taking over everything.
she loved him, she really did, and nothing would change that now.
“sehun..” she says his name, muffled softly by his chest, part of her lips pressed to it in her relaxed state. she’s almost afraid to ask him— what if he was just taking pity on a hurting friend? was it all a game, taking her for a ride she’d heard other girls had gotten tickets to? it wracked her mind, and she could feel herself curling further into him for some sort of reality. “did you…do you really mean this?”
she takes a deep breath and slowly, she lifts herself some, but only enough so her head and a top portion of her chest are separate from him ( the rest, she makes sure, is still encased in his embrace ). she slow, tentative with her movements, her lips pressed to his collarbone, one after another as she works herself up until she meets the plush of his lips, swollen just as badly as her own.
“i love you,” she says, her voice only a little stronger and louder, and suddenly she can hear her heartbeat ringing in her ears. she doesn’t wait for a reply, quickly pulling him into another embrace, her arms wrapped around his neck— she can’t find the courage to look him in the eyes, not when he could still reject her.
she lets out a shaky sigh, savoring what could be the last of her happiness with him. if it all ended here, at least she’d be free of her locked up feelings, knowing she’d finally confessed the truths of her heart to him. as long as he knew. “….i have for some time.” it’s only a whisper, and her eyes close in anticipation.
fate was mysterious, but nayeon could only hope it was in her favor.
