i mean i know that people make radio versions for that reason, but what it tells me is that the producers thought there was even the slightest chance this MIGHT be played on the radio, which is somehow not much less ridiculous

My own personal interpretation was “we dunno WTF we’re doing but every other single we’ve seen has a Radio Version so ours has one too, are we doing this right, what does Radio Version mean anyway”

I don’t know what’s better

(Also it got re-released eight years after the fact as Frozen Version, so... hooray? Pizza Kids have more of a history than I’m comfortable knowing)

Nah, a lot of the time that’s just music single terminology for “version that sounds like the song’s original intent, without being too long or experimental”. If the song made it onto any compilation albums - and I have seen some RIDICULOUS European and Asian compilation albums, so I’ll believe it did - it’d be the radio version as opposed to the other two remixes on the release. (Yes, there are remixes, but no, I don’t care to hear them.) I’ve been listening to Eurodance artists who only release singles and not albums for so long that “radio version” is just white noise to me, I don’t even notice it anymore

it’s not going to do anything. tumblr doesn’t care, and yahoo is a massive enough company that it won’t put even a slight dent in their profits. not logging into a website for a day isn’t how to do activism

Oh, it’s definitely not. But no one else is gonna be on, and I have other shit to do, and I’m just overall frustrated by this whole mess. So I’m just gonna not log in, and then investigate the rubble on the 18th. All I really can do.

I’ll have to look it up. Is it better or worse than the characters from the Finnish dub cheering in delight and screaming in terror, because that one’s hard to beat

I do admittedly try to restrain myself on most fanart since I know fanart can be such a personal thing

But with official art, all bets are off

I know this fandom by now, the official staff know this fandom by now, I’m sure they’re actively trying to cause fannish squealing and have been for nearly two years

and they’re doing a damn great job at it
