once again a reminder that the accessible stall is for DISABLED PEOPLE (and in some cases, families + ppl who have to change their kids diapers) it’s not for taking a long ass shit or having a panic attack or anything it’s literally for people who physically need it. obviously you can’t tell who needs it at a glance but like. i’ve met enough abled people who think it’s not a big deal to know that not every person is invisibly disabled (obviously don’t harass anyone but like. this is something abled people need to know.)
this is a blog for reblogging accessible undertale and deltarune fanart, as well as creating image descriptions for said fanart, to make the fandom more accessible for everyone!
feel free to tag your accessible UT and DR artwork with #accessibleundertale and i'll reblog it here! you can also submit artwork you would like described (let's keep it safe for work please!). the askbox is also open for any questions!
Programming and Dyslexia: A Survey into the Experience of Dyslexic Programmers
Hello All,
I am conducting research on the experience of dyslexic programmers. If you have dyslexia and have done any kind of programming I would be very grateful if you would take some time to fill out this survey:
https://forms.ncl.ac.uk/view.php?id=2403199
At the end of that survey there is the option to sign up for the second stage of my research which involves answering some problems under timed conditions. The questions involve reading Java code and therefore they require a basic knowledge of Java; variables, for/while loop and conditional statements should be sufficient.
FAQ:
What exactly is this research about?
My dissertation is called "Investigating Possible Assistive Technology to Support Dyslexic Programmers". I'm looking into the experience of dyslexic programmers; specifically how accessible they find the technology they work with, if and how it could be more accessible.
How long will the survey take?
The first stage of the survey could be completed in a couple of minuets. It'll take longer if you want to go into more detail in some of your answers. Detail is always appreciated, but no worries if you're in a rush.
Are you dyslexic?
Yes I am dyslexic (and dyspraxic), I was diagnosed at age 20 while doing my undergraduate degree.
I don't know any Java!
No worries you can still complete the first survey, you just won't be able to take part in the second one.
I'm self diagnosed, should I fill out the survey?
Yes please do.
Does it work on mobile?
I think it should work on all phones/tablets. (It works on my android phone at least :) )
What about data security?
By completing the survey you are consenting for the information to be used for academic research and nothing else. Some personal information (age and gender) will be collected, this data will be used to analysis the data demographically.
To access the second stage of the survey you will need to provide an email address, this will only be used to contact you about this survey.
I have more questions!
I you don't want to comment please feel free to email me at [email protected]
