Something that serves as both good luck charm and a gesture of affection, and yet... Thoughtful and solicitous, the immortal nonetheless couldn’t help but be perturbed about the reaction his present could cause, the light worry didn’t leave him even after the given reasurement.

Camilo is, in a word, bored. And it’s always a dangerous thing when he’s bored. The kids he spends the most time babysitting have come down with a fever. Nothing bad, but enough to keep them in bed for a day or so, so really Camilo’s just lucky he didn’t catch it too. It could be worse, but it’s left him looking to entertain himself at home. That, essentially, means being a complete nuisance for his father.

It started with Camilo messing around at breakfast. Nothing too bad, of course, because he wasn’t trying to disrupt everyone, but he had tried to sneak extras, using impressions of almost the whole family in his bid to get away with it. Then it was a case of turning everything he did around Casita into as much of a game as he could manage, which did, he’ll admit, put him in the way more often than not.

None of that really kept him entertained though, it just kept him busy, and that wouldn’t do. So, he took some time and waited for an idea to strike him.

The plan is simple. His impression of his dad is good, but practice is still always important. So, for the last few minutes, he’s been following him around and casually copying his every move.

She smiled down at her stomach, laughing. “You sure are active tonight......” She whispered, standing up and walking over to a bush, plucking a flower to put in her hair. Smiling and twirling a bit.

It’s fairly safe to say that a lot has happened lately. Family arguments. Casita falling. Casita being rebuilt. A new-but-not-new family member back in with the rest of them. And a complete shift in responsibilities for just about everyone.

It’s a good thing. Definitely a good thing. For the most part anyway. Camilo is...not thrilled with all of it, if he’s honest. For one thing, the townsfolk have started keeping a better eye on their children so Camilo doesn’t have to, and that’s left him kind of bored, really. Or, it would have, if not for a major realisation on his part. He’s been keeping everyone outside the family happy, and he’s been working on cheering up his mami, and keeping Antonio happy and out of trouble, and being a general nuisance to his papa to entertain...mostly himself, really.

But he’s been neglecting some people. If what he’s heard is true, he’s definitely been neglecting Luisa. He’s supposed to keep people happy, and she hasn’t been. That’s on him. And he needs to make up for that. Good thing he’s not needed looking after the children, because it means he’s got so much time to spend with her. Lucky for him, she’s easy to find. Time to start as he means to go on. First thing’s first, he shifts into Mirabel, putting on his best impression of her voice.
