I was tagged by matt-loves-books (sorry cant link) and here are the questions she asked me!
1. Hardback or paperback? I like hardback for books with really pretty covers (which are most of what i read) 2. Do you mark or highlight your favorite parts in a book? Yes. I highlight quotes and ill either put a post-it in with a thought or just write it in. I am not ashamed. 3. A picture of your favorite book cover? I actually don’t have a picture of my favorite book cover because I don’t own it yet, but my favorite cover atm would have to be Love Letters to the Dead. 4. What’s been your favorite book-to-movie adaption? Oh gosh i don’t know probably Eragon, I thought that was a pretty good movie (did they make movies for the other books in the series?) 5. Author you’ve read the most books from? Not including series, i’ve probably read the most books from Laurie Halse Anderson. I love her. 6. Currently reading? The Odyssey, for school, and honestly I don’t like it. 7. Favorite quote from your favorite book? I don’t know if this is my favorite book, but i do love this scene: “Henry takes my hand, and I look at him, and I raise our joined hands and Henry twirls me around and soon we’re dancing down Belle Plaine Avenue, no music but the sound of cars whooshing by and our own laughter, and the smell of cherry blossoms that fall like snow on the sidewalk as we dance underneath the trees.” (The Time Traveler’s Wife) 8. Ebooks or physical books? I love physical books because i can look at them all the time, but ebooks are so much easier because i’m on my phone all the time anyway and i don’t need a flashlight to read them. So both 9. Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in high school? I really would love to have been with Jace the way Clary is with him they are so perfect. 10. What fictional character would you most want to be friends with? Oh definitely Isabelle Lightwood. She kicks ass.

Book Tag from A-Z
I was tagged by the delightful gemofabook!
Author you’ve read the most
JK Rowling; Gillian Flynn; Rainbow Rowell; Poe and Kafka and Jane Austen
Best sequel ever
Chamber of Secrets and Catching Fire
Currently reading
Landline by Rainbow Rowell
Drink of choice while reading
Coffee or tea.
E-reader or physical book?
I’m a chronic ebook buyer, but I rarely read them. Something about a physical book makes me more likely to finish.
Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in HS
Ron Weasley; Fred or George Weasley; Charlie from Perks of Being a Wallflower; Would’ve had a secret crush on Levi from Fangirl; I liked the funny/goofy guys; the ones I thought I could ‘save,’ and harbored secret loves for the popular boys.
Glad you gave this book a chance
“Throne of Glass” by Sarah J. Maas
Hidden gem book
“Nothing” by Janne Teller
Important moment in your reading life
Reading “Little Women” when I was about 8 or so. I’m an only child, and that book was my first introduction to what having sisters could be like. I also feel like I based most of my future friendships around a sisterly type loyalty. It was a game changer.
Just finished
“The Unbound” by Victoria Schwab
Kind of books you won’t read
Much like movies and music, I won’t touch western type books. I’m sure there are some really good ones out there, but I have a deep prejudice that prevents me from enjoying them.
Longest book you’ve read
“The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm” Read all 800 pages for a fantasy class in college.
Major book hangover because of:
Harry Potter is the biggest one. I haven’t read the books in years, but every so often, I’ll have a Hogwarts dream and spend the next week immersing myself in the movies and fan fiction (I would love to reread the series, but it’s a commitment)
Number of bookcases you own
One five shelf, one three shelf, and a makeshift six shelfer. And there are mini book piles in just about every room.
One book you’ve read multiple times
“Twilight,” just the first one; I reread it whenever I’m sick. I haven’t touched the rest of them though. I pick up random Harry Potter books from time to time, too.
Preferred Place To Read:
Couch, bed, desk chair, any seating place with a bit of cushion will do.
Quote that inspires you/ gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read
“Grown-ups don't look like grown-ups on the inside either. Outside, they're big and thoughtless and they always know what they're doing. Inside, they look just like they always have. Like they did when they were your age. Truth is, there aren't any grown-ups.” Neil Gaiman “Ocean at the End of the Lane” #Truth
Reading regrets
Not reading very much at all last year. I read a grand total of 11 books, and I didn’t even have a job or college taking up my time. All them books that’ll never be read because I was in some sort of funk.
Series you started and need to finish
The Lunar Chronicles
The Throne of Glass series
Three of your All-Time favorite books
“Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley
“Harry Potter” by JK Rowling
“Dark Places” by Gillian Flynn
Unapologetic fangirl / fanboy for:
Harry Potter and magic realism novels. When I find one I like, I obsess over it. (Even though HP is clearly fantasy, in my mind, I do still slot it into magical realism in a way because it has the fantastic existing in the same space as our reality.)
Very excited for this release more than all the others
“Carry On” by Rainbow Rowell. I loved Fangirl and can’t wait to see the Simon/Baz side of it.
Worst bookish habit
I’m a reshelfer at the book store. I gather a bunch of books at first, and then slowly over the course of the cash register approach, I start doubting the books and put them back.
X marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book
“The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde.
Your latest book purchase
“Not a Drop to Drink” by Mindy McGinnis and “Point of Retreat” by Colleen Hoover
ZzZ-snatcher book: last book that kept you up WAY late
“The Unbound” It was taking far too long to finish; I had to take the last-page-or-no-sleep approach.
I tag: acciobooksandsunshine, bookschnaps, myobsessionthisweekis and everyone else!

The Pride and Prejudice copy that I ordered weeks ago to come to my house and all the movies coming out this year! 11. Do you have any books sitting on your shelf waiting to be read? omg yes, I'm trying not to buy any books for the sole reason of trying to read them all.
