Anders has a clinic now. Or the start of one, anyway. He's eked out a little inner circle of poor, paranoid sorts who seem the type to both need healing and a sense of secrecy. It's no guarantee that they'll keep the rumors of his clinic only to close confidants but unlike Kirkwall, Spirale is safe for mages. Safe for Anders, he wants to believe, but that status isn't so easily won.

He operates out of his own apartment on the days that his roommate is out. He has something of a receptionist who fields his calls and only gives out his number as necessary; most of the time, she just gives them his address and hours for the day.

Today has been especially taxing. Out of spells for the day already, he briefly toyed with the idea of closing up early. But he still has medical knowledge to offer, something to at least tide his patients over until he sleeps and can use magic once more.

At the sound of a knock, he doesn't peel himself off of his small, worn armchair. He needs all the extra rest he can get.

"Come in, it's unlocked!"

Swearing under his breath, Kadam sheathed his sword.

Sean clutched his heart, "Why-? How-? Have you been standing there this whole time?"

"I didn't even move, you jump scared yourself by noticing me." Pointed out Oliver, "I don't think thats my fault."

"Bitch" muttered Kadam, "Skaeking cryptid."

Oliver flicked the watermentalists forehead as he walked past, "Language."

" Not one for masks much, I take it?" the very lack of it is what makes it easy for her to spot the other mage, standing out amid the myriad of bodies near the refreshments. as expected, he wasn't dressed as lavishly as some of the guests she's seen over the course of the night, but it was enough to pass. she turns, fabric gliding along the floor as she rests her back against the wall next to Hawke, pausing to scan the crowd before focusing back on the other. thank god she chose a mask that hardly hindered her sight.

" You know, if you ask, the waiters will bring out the harder stuff." she slightly raises her glass, swirling the honey-gold liquid inside. "This one is peach flavored. The hostess''s' significant other is apparently a Count. It's no wonder he has the good stuff on request only."

there's definitely a couple from more obscure/older games that i would love to write someday but probably won't because obscure. vicar max from the outer worlds and jonathan reid from vampyr are the two big ones i can think of off the top of my head.
