Fear Hacking With an Accountability Coach - Never Suffer From Procrastination Again I know an owner of another highly respected program for coaches who claims that âaccountability is overratedâ. Why? What reasons does he give? Hereâs what he says: âPeople say they want accountability, but no one really wants accountability.â âMost people blow off accountability (like new yearâs resolutions).â âMost people blow off their coaches.â I can't help thinking that he says these things because he doesn't understand true accountability, or doesn't know how to provide powerful enough accountability for his clients. Maybe he just doesnât want to take the time? Regardless, hereâs my response to each of his reasons, one by one: HIS REASON: âPeople say they want accountability, but no one really wants accountability.â MY RESPONSE: Who cares what people want? The reason they're not getting results is because of what they 'want'. Your responsibility as their coach is to push them beyond their own selfish wants and needs. If you donât do that, what good are you? What are you charging for?? HIS SECOND REASON: âMost people blow off accountability (like new yearâs resolutions).â MY RESPONSE: Telling yourself youâre going to do something is NOT accountability. Telling other people youâre going to do something is NOT accountability. People have talked up a storm since the beginning of time⌠...but arenât accountable at all. Make a million promises, and youâre still not engaged in accountability. HIS THIRD REASON: âMost people blow off their coach.â MY RESPONSE: Sure, if their coach sits passively by and allows it. Thatâs easy to do. I think this is more of a personal observation about his own clients and coaching style, rather than whatâs possible in a true accountability coaching relationship. Youâre not going to blow off a committed coach who cares. Donât make these mistakes. Learn and use accountability coaching, and your clients will transform their lives and businesses. #lifecoachingbusiness #startingacoachingbusiness #successcoach #successcoaching #accountabilitycoach #accountabilitycoaching #SuccessCoaching #AccountabilityTechniques (at Master Coach community)
