Lately I haven’t been feeling good about Accutane... I feel like it hasn’t helped that much and some days I feel like it has just made my skin worse. While that may be true to an extent (I’ve never had scarring like this before) - it’s not the whole truth.

Sometimes you have to remind yourself of how far you’ve come. Today I decided to dig up some older pictures for reference. And while I still feel like I haven’t come far - at least I’m moving in the right direction.

I have to constantly remind myself that everyone is different and so everyone’s Accutane journey will be different. Some people may already have completely clear skin by the third month. That’s not me honey :DDD I just wonder how long it will take. I hate being on this drug so I’d like to get off it ASAP.

hey guys!!!

i haven’t updated this blog in forever

but it’s been quite a while since i got off accutane, probably over two/three years. this is my face right now; the top right picture is without makeup, the bottom right is with makeup.

i can’t imagine what my life would be like if i hadn’t taken accutane. looking back, those years of my life were some of the worst. i can’t imagine feeling as low as i did then. i owe this drug my skin, and a thank you for jump-starting my mental health, which has only gotten better and better since i came off accutane.

this is truly a miracle drug! i wish you all the best in your accutane journey. i probably won’t ever update this blog again, but i thank you for being with me through the years. you can find my person blog here

day 11

I think I’m beginning to get my initial breakout, I have loads of red hard n sore bumps everywhere :(

Feeling a little annoyed due to the fact Splendour in the Grass (local music festival) is in a month and I won’t be able to drink at all, as well as a lot of friend’s birthdays. 

What are some good lipbalms?

almost a year after starting accutane, and a little over 6 months of ending accutane, my skin has recessed back to what is was like before i started. my skin in covered in cystic acne and it hurts. a lot. Going to my dermatologist next week (earliest i could get an appointment :( ) and discussing going back on accutane. wish me luck.
