Since I am re-watching Sherlock I am thinking a lot about Asexuality and asked myself how a ace!Obi and allo!Padpad would fare in a relationship.
I have compiled a bit of a headcanon list for future references:
Obi and Padpad start out as friends
Pad is watching Satine and Obi break up, not comprehending why Satine would leave Obi
After Pad's break up with Ani Obi is there for her, listens to her, and just generally being an awesome friend
After a year or so Pad starts dating again and it's kind of a disaster with a subtly jealous Obi
After that they kind of stumble into a relationship
They have dates and cuddle and everyone assumes they are a couple
One night Pad kisses him and tells him that she thinks they should take the next step
Obi confesses that he is in love with her but that he is asexual and got hurt in his previous relationships
He wasn't really looking for someone because he is still not over the internalized guilt he holds over everything his former girlfriends told him/made him feel
so they have a very open discussion about what they want from a relationship
Obi has a very low sex drive, is not sex repulsed but is really not keen on p-in-v sex
she tells him she needs to think about all of that and he expects her to never bring it up again
the following weeks he is distant and tries to hold back on his feelings but Pad is having none of that and is wooing him
She sat down and researched Asexuality and since she is absolutely in love with him she wants to give it a shot
Obi is surprised but reluctant. he is super in love with her but afraid of getting hurt again.
I just want Obi to confess his romantic feelings for her and tell her how much he loves her, how wonderful he thinks she is, that he wants to be there for her, kiss her and love her, and enjoy being near her
and Pad is like *_*
I would love to explore for them to find ways to be intimate with each other that feel good for both of them. I mean there are so many fics in mm pairings that explore themes like that but I rarely get to see that with het pairings?
Maybe Obi is super into kissing and touching Pad, maybe he touches her while she masturbates or they masturbate next to each other?
Maybe he likes to massage her before she uses her vibrator to get herself off? Idk but I would love to write something in that direction.
Also maybe a scene where he is like No. Pad. That's too much. Sorry, love, but maybe we could cuddle instead? Maybe she wants to suck him off or give him a handjob because she thinks she has to reciprocate after he has given her an orgasm.
I just want them to find each other and accept each other and find a way to express their love for each other. That's all I currently have. Maybe I will add to that.
In any case I really like the idea.
