Aroace Ben and asexual Alli have my heart
I still love asexual Allison from when I wrote that AU about it. I know we won’t get it but in my head it’s canon.... which is why they call it a headcanon lmao
And obviously aroace Ben is what I want because i project
I head cannon Allison as a-spec. Idk why, that's just the vibe she gives me
Ace Allison: (it’s going to be more aroace Allison.)
She takes forever to figure it out. She’s the only girl on the team (as far as the media are concerned) so that means she gets a lot of attention. Reporters call her beautiful. She gets love letters from fans. Boys call her name in crowds. As she gets older, she gets no less than five seperate marriage proposals by strangers after missions. Hargreeves hates it and threatens them with restraining orders but she thinks it’s hilarious and kind of flattering.
She likes the attention. She’s an actress. She wants to be adored and loved. She just didn’t realize she was supposed to love them back.
When the thing with Luther starts she assumes it’s love. She likes hanging out with him and she likes the physical closeness when they cuddle. She likes the way he looks at her. She likes the feeling of having a secret between them.
But when she watches movies or reads books talking about true love, she doesn’t feel that way. He’s not her other half because she’s a whole person and she’s never needed someone to complete her. She doesn’t think about him at night. She doesn’t miss him when he’s not around. When he kisses her, she never gets butterflies in her stomach. It’s just pressure and skin.
Five disappears, Hargreeves pushes training, Ben dies, Klaus explodes inward and the light dies in his eyes, Diego explodes outward and almost decapitates Luther during training. She’s too busy trying to keep her family together to wonder why romcoms feel so foreign to her.
Klaus starts dating and every partner is the “love of his life.” He tells her he can’t breath without them, when they touch him he feels safe and warm. She’s too busy picking up the pieces after every break-up to wonder why shes never felt that way. They all learn early that no one wants to date a member of the umbrella academy.
Then Diego leaves, chasing after some girl he’d met called Eudora. He tells her he can’t live without her. Allison wonders if anyone could ever have that much away on her feelings. She doubs her feelings for Luther are enough to keep her in the state, let alone the house.
She leaves next. Luther is heartbroken. She misses him, but it’s not enough. She realizes then that its never been enough.
She does research between acting auditions and finding a home and going to parties because everyone wants to hang out with the famous “Number Three.”
She figures out the aromantic part first. It makes sense. Afterall, it was Luther with the big romantic gestures like lockets and tents and stargazing. She was always just along for the ride.
Then she reads about asexuality. And she wonders. So she meets a man named Patrick and she tries out sex.
It’s nice. Just nice. She wasn’t in a rush to do it again. There was no fireworks no butterflies. Patrick had a nice body, but in the end it was just skin and sweat and sticky body stuff.
Then she misses her period and when she tells Patrick he proposes. He wants to be a family. No sex, no relationship, just a safe home for their child. And she kind of likes the sound of that. So she says yes.
