hi! bc of the ace positivity recently (😊) I sent an ask abt my aroace ben headcanon? was wondering if it got eaten, if it didn’t please ignore this and either way have a lovely day
It def got eaten! that’s so annoying but ANYWAY thanks for sending again!
Ace Ben was actually one of the first kind of HCs I did so I’m so happy.
Here’s the OG
And of course I have more ideas for aroace Ben:
It never occurred to Ben to like someone before in any way, but to be fair to him, he did grow up isolated in an evil mansion as an experiment so it’s not entirely his fault.
Klaus had crushes, but that was Klaus. Klaus could find a crush in the middle of a robbery (and had done, multiple times.)
He didn’t think much of it, even when Diego started crushing on people, or Allison talked about how dreamy actors were.
Ben had no idea what she was talking about. How could she like actors when she didn’t even know them?
He doesn’t get long to think about it before he dies.
Which, by the way, sucked. 0/10 recommend.
He starts to get a little confused after he dies.
What luck, right? Who figured out their sexuality AFTER DEATH?
Klaus liked EVERYONE.
Ben hated EVERYONE.
He could always find something wrong with Klaus’ partners. Klaus called him picky, but Ben genuinely couldn’t see anything good about them.
He starts to wonder if maybe it’s because he’s dead. Dead people can’t get crushes, right? That’s a ghost rule... probably...
He’s 23, 6 years after his death, when he hears the word asexuality for the first time.
He barely hears the conversation because Klaus so high, even Ben can’t help but fade in and out.
It’s almost an entire 24 hours later when he manages to keep a hold of reality long enough to talk to Klaus.
“What were you talking to that guy about yesterday?”
“Oh, just sexuality and stuff. He didn’t want sex because he’s asexual. I can respect that.”
“He’s what?”
And that is when his brother explains everything to him. Apparently, Ben is not broken or dead. Well... he is dead, but that’s not the reason for his total lack of interest. Klaus tells him that some people don’t want sex and some don’t want romance, and some don’t want either.
“Can I be that?” Ben asks, because he’d never thought a label could’ve applied to him before.
“I thought you already knew you were aroace, dude!”
And that is how Klaus kept Ben’s own sexuality from him for 6 years.
The end.
