I just got reminded that it's men's mental health month. To all other men here struggling with mental health issues, I hope it gets better. Check yourselves, make sure you aren't shutting down or making fun of anyone who expresses feelings, it hurts everyone. pay attention to any tendencies of toxic masculinity and remember that it's ok to feel emotions, but not every way of expressing it is okay. Feelings being "valid" doesn't mean every way or responding to them is good.

I especially hope bisexual men and men of color have a better day or year. I also want to wish wellness upon asexual men, aromantic men, gay men, bi men, trans men, multigender men and any other queer men. But I hope that for every man who is struggling, whether with their own masculinity and unlearning toxic masculinity, or with unrelated mental health issues like PTSD or anxiety, it gets better :)

I suppose I should mention eating disorders, they might be common in general, but I've definitely noticed them a lot among queer men and I hope that none of you have to struggle with it, and that if you are, you seek help (professional or from friends, the internet or a hotline). remember that it's good to seek help.

Being an ace guy is weird. Having to hear hetero guys talk incessantly about the female anatomy in the shower rooms, or constantly getting questioned if I’m gay for having no interest in the subject. It seems like people just can’t grasp the idea of an ace guy, or even just a allo guy with low sex drive. Weird.
