Changes made from Canon to my AU
To me it’s important to point out differences between my Au and Canon since I don’t believe I need to abide by all of Canon's narrative or world building choices, I’ll try to delve into everything from things I changed to removed to added. I’ll try to tackle as much as I can. Enjoy.
Elizabeth and CB are two separate individuals sharing one body.
Now while most people in the community just kinda decide that CB and Liz are just the same individual after Elizabeth's death, I have seen some widely debate it and I don’t blame them. FNAFs writing is wildly inconsistent and sometimes contradictory so people having a hard time clocking what Scott is trying to say with his cryptic ass ‘solve my three riddles’ ass writing is not hard to believe, so I personally find CB and Liz just being one in the same boring and easy, but also canon is inconsistent on if it’s the case or not anyways or if they even want it to be the case. This all just sends me to an early grave and drives me up the walls, so to save me from answering the same question every other week I’m answering it here.
THEY ARE NOT THE SAME HERE, THEY ARE TWO STUCK IN ONE BODY BECAUSE I THINK THAT IS FAR MORE FUN AND FUCKED UP AT THE SAME TIME.
Plus, to me, it seemed to be apparent that they were two separate people or something along those lines, till FNAF 6 came along and did either damage control or more so just set the entire place on fire (Figuratively and literally.)
Okay, to explain a bit more, Elizabeth is more of a poltergeist esk ghost than a ghost haunting a suit, largely due to her Remnant being split up and put into the four funtimes. All the funtimes are just sentient AI whose sentience was either gained or heightened by Elizabeth's Remnant due to Williams scientific bullshit.
The Funtimes can all see her and she can temporarily control them due to this but she doesn’t really do that much unless it is necessary since it’s painful and energy consuming. Elizabeth, during the events of FNAF SL, was an active player in the events In SL by hijacking handunit and specifically planned points and manipulating what he says for certain events to transpire a certain way. Basically Elizabeth is the other puppeteer pulling strings behind the scenes.
2. Elizabeth's feelings towards William
This was the biggest change I made, largely because I definitely changed her canonical age to Ten, to make Elizabeth's whole willingness to disobey whatever William said to her relating to not going to CB more of a boiled up from years of frustration because I want her to be angry. Of course it isn’t just a 180 switch I wanted it to be a semblance of even further build up from all the things William does
First Admiration because she’s like a toddler.
Then a need to please because he’s ignoring her.
Then fear because he treats her like a lab rat (as well in the sense of looking at someone and just not knowing them anymore).
Then to hatred because he left her to rot in an underground prison that tortures her more.
Then just wanting this all to end because she’s been alive too long.
Yeah, it’s a lot. This change was done because, to me, they didn’t really do much with Elizabeth's view of William in the Canon franchise outside of that book that I hate.
This I’d say is my favorite thing I changed because I loathe this Night so much, I know it was explained by CB (vaguely) that something “bad” happened yesterday (her words) but that could mean anything. Plus with how much of a shift Night 4 is it makes you wonder “why the hell Michael came back??” Is doing what his Dad asked him to do that important? Well if it is it isn’t implied that well since his one piece of dialogue is hidden behind the hardest challenge night of the entire game so we wouldn’t know otherwise. Basically it’s a little too solve my three riddles esk for me to handle without losing my mind, so I decided to change it a little just so it makes CBs whole ‘I tricked you’ feel a little less not surprising.
Firstly, Michael isn’t held there all night in the scooping room in the springlock suit (Funtime Chica, not really sure that’s a change but I’ll include it anyways) it’s just his starting point before he’s freed by CB. Now don’t worry CB did still kidnap him, I didn’t change that, I liked that a lot just hated how it’s not something that we figure out due to information we gain, it’s just fucking told to us out of the gate. Instead she lied and said that she found him like that and is going to help him get out.
Second, he actually escapes. The other thing that bothered me was that there wasn’t much of an indication how Michael could have gotten out of the death trap and the spider dolls crawling on and in it, part of his escape is related to another change, specifically the map's whole layout. Of course this escape doesn’t come without challenge, she has to make herself as the only trustworthy bot here.
Anyways, sorry if you liked the night as it was or whatever, I just found it dumb since it doesn’t do much other than blow CBs cover and ruin the Night 5 reveal with the Real Ending and the gameplay is ass anyways but that is unrelated to why I changed it 😉.
This change shouldn’t be surprising since I know many people don’t like the way certain fnaf games locations are mapped, but SL to me is the most egregious example since it’s basically just a few boxes and that's it with little thought to how anyone or anything can get in and out. Yeah yeah, there are the vents but no one can enter CB’s room nor exit it, how do people access the Scooping rooms control room? Do they have to enter the receiving end of the Scooping room to get there? Does every room involve crawling through a vent? This place is clearly in some form of operation since we have those other two staff members that die. To me, there are just too many questions with none of them answered so I chose to put in the effort to make answers. Is it better than the official map? That is for you to decide, but I will explain each room and what's in it.
Elevator: Obvious is Obvious. This is the only way in and out of the Underground Facility, don’t ask if this is even legal, you won’t get an answer.
Entrance Hall: Replacing the first vent you crawl through after exiting the Elevator, I had done this to explain how people can get things, specifically the bots in and out as well as how staff get into the Scooping rooms controls.
Storage Room 1A: Used to store cleaning supplies, sanitary products, and other miscellaneous things largely important to staff.
Scooper control: Where the Scooping rooms controls are. Only select staff are allowed here anyways.
Control Module: The main observation room most staff use to check on the animatronics, specifically Funtime Foxy, Freddy, and Ballora.
Ballora Gallery: This area is where Ballora and her Minireenas are stored till they are rented out, while also being an area where branded items are held as well.
Breaker Room: Basically where the breaker to the facilities power is, which is separate to the upper floors supply. It is very clearly out of date when you need to reboot it, like it has not been improved nor has it really been approved, making it quite faulty.
Funtime Auditorium: Where Funtime Foxy and Funtime Freddy are expected to be held till they are rented out, while branded items are also held there.
Scooping Room: Where the Funtimes are sent if repairs can’t be done by staff due to issues beyond regular staff repairs, being sent here for basically a body system reset. Repairs can be far easier when you can fix the small thing then just fix the bigger shit that was on top of it. (Williams vision lol)
Parts and Service: Where stuff that can be repaired is done, but they also do general quality checks and tests on the animatronics to make sure everything works and is up to date.
Private Room (Williams Office): A strange security office and area where William stored all the important unused bots, files, and documents he wishes to keep locked up. It’s also the area he used to keep track of the bots in this building and spy on his kids instead of actually parenting them.
Circus Module Vent: Kept this vent because it would make sense that accessing CB’s area requires good upper body strength lol.
Circus Module: The special module to keep an eye on Circus Baby specifically, because she’s William's special little Frankenstein monster.
Circus Gallery: Where Circus Baby and the babs are held, that is it. It’s basically her jail or whatever.
Transport Wing: How they move bots from room to room or to the elevator and back, it’s also where the Emergency shut down overrides are if it activates incorrectly.
Storage 1B: Where stuff from Circus Baby’s Pizza World is now stored since most of it is out of date, the Circus Baby minigame is located here.
Storage 2A: Where stuff from Circus Baby’s Pizza World is now stored since most of it is out of date, the Funtime Freddy minigame is located here.
Storage 2B: Where stuff from Circus Baby’s Pizza World is now stored since most of it is out of date, the Ballora minigame is located here.
Storage CA: Where stuff from Circus Baby’s Pizza World is now stored since most of it is out of date, the Funtime Foxy minigame is located here.
Storage CB: Katherine’s ghost is located here, due to the fact the weapon that did her in is hidden back here.
Sister locations map and FNAF 4’s map are no longer connected
This one may be obvious if you know me and my displeasure with making FNAF 4 a real thing and not just a fucked up dream land or whatever, as well as the fact the franchise can’t decide what FNAF 4 is anymore so I decided to just remove its connection to FNAF SL. I love FNAF 4 but this was a dumb decision and anyone who says otherwise I just gotta believe they are snorting copium.
I am not even against the idea of Williams spying on his kids, that is 100% something I can believe because he would definitely do anything and everything other then be a present father in any way.
This wouldn’t make sense with the way FNAF 4 is set up in my AU anyways since I have Joseph have the regular Nightmare Nightmares while Michael is stuck with the spooky Halloween variants due to Joseph.
Plus I think It’d be funny if FNAF SL Custom Night is in some way canon here lol. Canon may be a coward but I’m not.
2. Removed Illusion Disks
Is this even canon to the games? Well enough people have accepted these stupid fucking things that I feel I have to make it known that the day I accept these things is the day I’ve been replaced with a body snatcher because I hate these things so much oh my god. They literally ruin all the interesting paranormal ghostly aspects of FNAF and they, if game canon, ruin CBs whole plan that she executes in FNAF SL, they are the laziest route FNAF could have gone when it comes to literally anything relating to body snatching, identity theft, and ghost stuff which is stupid because they already had that with Ennard and this series is literally about dead kids haunting shit.
It ruins ghost shit because nothing in FNAF would be allowed to be ghosts anymore since the answer could always be the random plate is ringing actually.
So, I decided to take these things out back and put them down so I am spared the torture, but don’t even get me started on Fear gas, I’ll talk about that when I soon get to FNAF 4.
This is more of a tangent but eh.
My Sweet baby boo, I felt it would be funny if I added a being akin to a staff mascot Bonzi buddy looking motherfucker because I wanted to, also because I find computer assistants like Clippy and Bonzi Buddy (kinda) to be the silliest things ever.
2. All the other staff members
I like adding extra people to fill out the world we’re in, also because this is my world and I do what I please, now shut up and take my AU Original Characters.
3. Elizabeth's whole paranormal business
I know damn well that FNAF didn’t come up with this nor would it ever come up with it on its own.
I thought it would make sense
That should be it, I can’t think of anything else that I either Changed, Removed or Added.
